MoneyWalk 279: Gift Giving

This program will help you undo financial bondage.

It is good from time to time to give to others as a way of showing that you appreciate them and that God loves them. In doing so you are imitating your heavenly Father and opening pathways to positively touch their lives and lead them to and strengthen them in the faith. However, many people never craft a plan to set aside funds and allocate spending for such gifting (including birthday, holidays, and anniversaries) among their family members, friends, and others. It is best that you do, so that emotions caused by commercialization and culture do not send you on a spending spree you cannot afford. Otherwise, mismanagement of your income and assets and mounting debt will make you regret it.

Family members in their right minds, true friends, and good people accept you regardless of the size of your wallet. They don't get mad at you because the card or gift you gave them wasn't at a certain expense level. In fact, they love family members and friend’s fellowship and conversation so much that they could care less whether or not they receive gifts from them while appreciating meaningful gifts they receive from time to time.

Decide in your heart and mind that the thought is what counts and spend only what you have available in cash after tithes and offerings are given, all other bills are paid, and money is set aside for savings and investment. Craft an annual gifting budget that identifies available cash and allocates it for all the people for whom you want to buy cards or gifts. You may find that you're unable to purchase a gift for every loved one or that it is unreasonable for you to spend the amounts you have spent in previous years because you are currently deep in debt or have other financial goals that need more of your disposable income. In that case, decide which ones will get cards versus gifts and shop at discount stores that provide nice cards and gifts and consider meaningful homemade items and services. As a result of proper money management, you will soon create disposable income pathways that allow spontaneous giving in situations you did not foresee.

Please pray for this ministry and email any questions. May God bless you richly as you follow His plan!!!

MoneyWalk 278: The Truly Wealthy Thank God

This program will help you undo financial bondage.

Believers can call those things that be not as though they are because every substance on earth came from spiritual matter the natural eye cannot see. True faith recognizes that vision, initiatives, project outcomes, future material and technological tools inspired by the LORD are real even though human eyes cannot currently see them. Therefore, thank God every day for His promise that when you pursue what He shows you and give abundantly to bring it to pass He will cause people and earthly and heavenly economies to give abundantly to you to help you bring His plan to pass.

Even unbelievers that make great discoveries, uncover useful knowledge, and produce great technologies operate from this heavenly system, but often don’t know it or want to recognize it. It’s a shame that if they remain unrepentant giving thanks for success to everything but the LORD, they will suffer the sorrows of eternal damnation originally designed only for the devil and fallen angels.

In light of the blessing of God upon believers in Jesus Christ as those who will pursue His vision and seek to tithe, give, and do good works that open the vast treasuries of His knowledge to help mankind draw closer to Him and care for one another’s needs while on earth, you must recognize that He rebukes the devourer for you, opens the windows of heaven over you, and produces true wealth in and through you to continue advancing Him and His kingdom. Thank Him for the past, present, and future and How He delivered you from bondage to sin, continues to mature you in His way of living, and greatly uses you to lead unbelievers to Christ and disciple them.

Negativity and complaints about your situation will close the windows of Heaven over you and lead you to mediocrity in serving Him and giving to support ministry work through your local church. However, continual giving of thanks in recognition of the blessings He’s poured on your life will lead you to serve Him and others with fervency and manage the money He entrusts to you according to biblical principles so you’re able to abundantly support your family, local church, and other worthwhile ministries.

Please pray for this ministry and email any questions. May God bless you richly as you follow His plan!!!

MoneyWalk 276: Retirement Is Refirement For Greater Works

This program will help you undo financial bondage.

You are free to retire from your current employment, however a disciple of Christ always has work to do that helps evangelize the world and make disciples of men inside and outside of the secular workplace. Total abstinence from work is not God’s plan for anyone nor healthy for your body. Though you may take a short period of rest to replenish, the LORD definitely has work for you to do in and outside of usual Church activities. You will find that some of these activities will allow you to use your skills and gifting in a way that produce income that helps you fund the kingdom and build wealth when properly managed.

Understand that work performed before and after retirement from your current occupation must meet the same parameter in order to be pleasing to the LORD; it is in a legitimate, non-sinful venue that is helpful to others. This comes in many different forms such as work you are paid to do (sometimes extraordinarily) to volunteer work done for your church, charity, or organizations. Sometimes, it is work many people refuse to recognize like interceding in order that a pathway for the will of God will be open for the church, the world, and other people’s lives. Many people do not understand that this work is as useful and necessary as other legitimate types of work and that some are called by God to this work and will be handsomely compensated for it by Him and leaders that understand His will and its great usefulness.

When you seek to please Him more than to please men He highly favors you and looks upon your good work produced by faith in legitimate venues. No doubt He’s glad when your work pleases your superiors and helps other people. This does not change after you retire from your current occupation. It continues into future avenues for your good works to be employed. In other words retirement for a Christian is really refirement for the display of your gifts and skills in another earthly arena that you will use to support the Great Commission, directly by the service to others engaged by the work or indirectly by giving abundantly of the income produced by the work.

Please pray for this ministry and email any questions. May God bless you richly as you follow His plan!!!

MoneyWalk 277: Paying Tax Is Not Immoral

This program will help you undo financial bondage.

God designed government and knew that it would require its citizens and others connected to it to pay for the services it should provide. Jesus Christ said to give to Caesar that which is Caesar’s; that which is within the authority of the government to require of you. God enables you to pay your taxes while also taking care of your family and church responsibilities.

When necessary, He'll miraculously provide the means to pay your taxes, just like He used a fish to pay Jesus’ taxes. Now that you understand being a good steward of the money God entrusts to you requires that you pay all taxes required of you, feel free to use all legal means available to minimize taxes. Also, lobby local, state, and federal elected officials to encourage them to enact lower tax rates for the reason that over-taxation places a burden upon citizens that eventually causes governments to fail then fall.

Don’t claim that your allegiance to God is the reason you don't pay taxes, rather let your honor for God and the civic institutions He established move you to pay all taxes you lawfully owe. You do not have to agree with everything they do, or like any of the representatives, and your belief that they are too big with too many programs may be true. Make these things matters of prayer, civil dialogue, and righteous lobbying activity while understanding that refusing to honor this principle of paying taxes to the governments with authority over you when you are able is refusing to obey and honor the LORD. A disobedient, dishonorable attitude will cause you to miss out on many spiritual and financial rewards throughout life until you commit to follow God's principles.

Please pray for this ministry and email any questions. May God bless you richly as you follow His plan!!!
