MoneyWalk 30 Diversify Assets Part 1

This program will help you undo financial bondage.

Are you familiar with the term, "don't put all of your eggs in one basket?" This advice was given so, if an accident occurs, a ma-jority of eggs would survive and be useable in the future. If you place eggs in several different baskets, it is improbable that most baskets would be affected and thus most of your eggs would re-main intact, valuable, and useable. However, if you place all the eggs in one basket and it is damaged, then all of your eggs will likely be destroyed and lose value.

This concept is based on the diversification principle noted in the bible – give a portion to seven or eight because you do not know what trouble may come upon the land. The father of our faith, Abraham, was rich in cattle, silver, and gold and lots of workers. The parables of the talents and minas show the master diversified by spreading his wealth among of number of workers who were to tend, trade with, and grow the portions entrusted to them. Indeed, the LORD diversifies by giving each person the responsibility and ability to spread the gospel by evangelizing and making disciples of men, women, and children within each arena of our lives.

Every wealth building plan should include a process that spreads assets over a number of different holdings, savings, and investment vehicles. You should also use this principle when seeking advice because there is safety in a variety of counselors to help manage life and resources. Yet, many people foolishly put all their savings and investments in one vehicle under one institution’s control, or worse yet under one person’s control. There have been many stories about people losing their entire life savings when their one vehicle goes bankrupt or the person or institution controlling it embezzles the money and it is not properly insured. Many also lose far more purchasing power than had to be lost when the value of that one investment vehicle drops substantially and they do not have growth from other investments to offset the loss.

Minimize your risk by:

(e) Saving for short-term emergency needs in a couple of government insured accounts (at least $10,000 once you eliminate all non-mortgage debt).

(f) Investing the bulk of your assets for the long-haul (10+ years).

(g) Researching to understand which investment vehicles are worthwhile.

(h) Choosing at least a few to invest in that have positive long-term historical track records (mutual funds, etc.).

Diversification does not stop investments from being affected by economic downturns and it is likely you will not get the annual return of the hottest stock. However, this type limits the size of asset downswings so they won’t be anywhere near those for people who had all of their money in the many risky investments that do not do well each year. It also allows you to obtain far greater long-term growth than those who put all their investment money in low risk fixed-income vehicles. In addition, it definitely stops the ability of one person to Madoff with all your money.

Please pray for this ministry, email me with any questions, and contact me to speak at your business or ministry conference or workshop. May the LORD bless you richly as you follow His plan!

MoneyWalk 29 Promotions Come From The LORD

This program will help you undo financial bondage.

Work well done should be appreciated via promotions (generous raises, higher level positions, accolades, awards, etc.). However, your employer, volunteer organizations, and even leaders in the Church will not recognize your good work(s) at different times during your life. At some point, you will inevitably feel like you didn’t receive recognition or just compensation when you deserve it. This is a spiritual test of your character. Failure to receive it is an opportunity for you to display godly humility, patience, and love toward those who seem to have forgotten or passed over you. You will only display this type of character when you believe God is the author and finisher of your life and faith and that He will open doors of promotion that are specifically for you when you’re ready to handle the new level of responsibility.

In the mean-time and in between time and after you get each promotion, use biblical financial principles such as working hard, respecting authorities that supervise you, and completing assignments well and on time. This helps leaders see it is in everyone’s best interest to make higher-level opportunities and responsibilities available to you. This attitude and course of action also helps you build treasures in Heaven and on Earth in a manner that gives you access to them when God knows you need money and resources to complete steps toward your destiny.

Almighty God is totally reliable and has the master plan for your life. When you use His plan it produces peace, joy, and right-standing from which to receive even greater blessing and reward. Recognize this building block and order your life in such a way that you utilize it to move you ever forward. In the financial arena, using biblical money management principles is necessary to open the windows of His prosperity plan over your life. Keep this in mind as you do so, some people have been promoted but fail to recognize their promotion because it didn’t show up the way they wanted it, as more money, or as a more prestigious title and role.

Open your spiritual eyes to understand these are not the only ways in which the LORD can promote you. He is able to (a) promote you by causing people to give you things free you would otherwise have to pay for, (b) cause events to take place that can reduce your expenses, (c) put you in places and among people who can open doors for you, (d) bring about situations where it costs less than normal to conduct business / ministry, (e) etc. These scenarios give you more disposable income for ministry, charitable giving, and family care. Everyone committed to working as unto the LORD throughout life will see numerous promotions over time. So, don’t let satan blind you to the reality of your promotions and don’t be envious of promotions that others receive. Keep working faithfully & efficiently and He will surely promote you when the time is right.

Please pray for this ministry, email me with any questions, and contact me to speak at your business or ministry conference or workshop. May the LORD bless you richly as you follow His plan!

MoneyWalk 28 Debt Elimination Methods

This program will help you undo financial bondage.

There are two main methods of debt elimination; (a) the Smallest Debt Method and (b) the Highest Finance Charge Method. For method (a) you would list all your debts starting with smallest debt on the top line of a chart and then list the next largest debt on each line below until the last line shows the largest debt you currently owe a single creditor. Next to each debt list the name of the creditor then the required minimum monthly payment. You would then pay the minimum monthly payment for all the debts and pay all surplus money along with the minimum payment for the smallest debt until that debt is totally eliminated.

Method (b) would have you list all your debts starting with the one with the highest finance charge on the top line of the chart and then list the one with next highest finance charge on each line below until the last line shows the one with the highest finance charge you are currently paying. Next to each debt you would list the name of the creditor, the finance charge percentage, and the required minimum monthly payment. You would then pay the minimum monthly payment on each debt and put all surplus money with the minimum payment for the debt with the highest finance charge until that debt is totally eliminated.

The smallest debt method (sometimes called the snowball method) gives you a psychological benefit by helping you quickly eliminate small debts, which motivates you to continue the process. Most people usually have a few creditors to whom they owe several hundred dollars. The highest finance charge method (sometimes called the avalanche method) minimizes the amount of finance charges you pay during the process of eliminating debt. Most people’s highest finance charges tend to be on debts with higher balances. People who engage the smallest debt method are far more likely to stick with the process (because of quick payoffs on a few accounts within the first few months of engaging the process) than are people who chose the highest finance charge method.

There are a small number of math / accounting genius’ who love tracking and getting the most out of the math and thus are excited about using the highest finance charge method. However, most people’s biggest problem is behavior not math calculations, and they have short attention spans with regard to following particular processes unless the process more quickly shows them a benefit that will turn into greater benefit down the road as they continue to use the process. If they had been operating in a higher math intellect all along then they would not be in financial bondage in the first place. Thus, they were engaging in poor behavior which is what led to their financial predicament. In this regard, they will do far better following the smallest debt method, which motivates them to correct behavior and continue on the road to total debt elimination.

Total debt elimination using the smallest debt method on average takes six weeks longer than when it would come using the highest finance charge method and it allows the average person’s debt to be paid off in 2 to 3 years or less while paying only a little more in interest than under the highest finance charge method. Yet, if one starts the highest finance charge method and does not continue on the path until completion then no method will benefit him, regardless of the fact that his math-genius-self thought the highest finance charge method was the best. Thus, the smallest debt method is generally the one people should use to get out of debt.

Before using this approach it's best to establish an emergency fund of at least $1,000 and close all charge cards and cut up them up, so you won't be tempted to use them again because they charge you approximately 15 to 30% interest which equates to 15 to 30 cents on each dollar you have charged.

To work optimally, the method requires you to become disciplined. Those who are resolute and willing to sacrifice for their desire to be a godly steward of money the LORD entrusts to them will engage biblical financial principles that increase their giving and reasonable, fruitful living so they can continually experience the satisfaction of spreading the gospel of Jesus Christ at home and abroad. Such engagement will not leave you burned out, depleted, or in financial bondage. Instead it will take you to The Wealthy Place as you engage the work and ministry for which the LORD fashioned you.

Please pray for this ministry, email me with any questions, and contact me to speak at your business or ministry conference or workshop. May the LORD bless you richly as you follow His plan!

MoneyWalk 27 You Choose The Reward

This program will help you undo financial bondage.

The bible is full of promises and rewards that can be obtained by faithfully honoring Jesus Christ. This means following the guidance and instruction of the Holy Spirit in order to obey Christ’s commandments. Each time you stumble or sin or by immaturity make a wrong decision, be quick to repent of it and turn to God asking Him to help you and resolve to never do it again.

When reading the bible, you'll find numerous Old Testament scriptures in which God promised Israel blessings in return for loving Him by living holy. He made similar promises in the New Testament to born again believers and identified that many blessings contained in the Old Testament still apply to present day believers. Rewards that faithful followers can count on:

1. Being given a positive future, a worthwhile earthly purpose, and sure eternal destiny in Heaven upon confessing with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and Savior and believing in your heart that God raised Him from the dead to provide your salvation, eternal life, and fulfill His purposes through-out eternity.

2. Being made the head and not the tail.

3. Being in the wealthy position of lenders instead of the poor position of borrowers.

4. Being prosperous and having good success.

5. Having your storehouse filled with overflowing increase.

6. Having more blessings poured out from the windows of Heaven than you can use on yourself. You are blessed to be a blessing to many others.

Simply put, it's been God's plan all along that mankind would respect and worship His son Jesus Christ and live in a way that's pleasing to Him. These blessings have been available throughout the ages to any race, culture, or nationality of people that would honor the LORD. If you want a blessed, peaceful, and joyous life financially and otherwise with treasures in Heaven awaiting you, then honor God by using His biblical money management principles.

Please pray for this ministry, email me with any questions, and contact me to speak at your business or ministry conference or workshop. May the LORD bless you richly as you follow His plan!

MoneyWalk 26 Plan and Budget For Financial Health

This program will help you undo financial bondage.

Diligence in mapping out your financial future month-to-month and year-to-year and writing it down on paper is what it takes to repair damaged finances and/or maintain good financial health. A negative financial condition should make you turn from the money management principles you've used up to this point in time and turn to God's principles for managing money because He always has your best interest in mind. He wants to bless you and use you to bless many other people.

If your situation is going to positively change, you must develop a monthly budget that lists your tithes & offerings and all your bills and then subtracts them from your net monthly income. Such budgeting shows, after all other bills are paid, what you have left to spend on personal items, savings, and investments. It should be calculated for each month for an extended period of times like six to twelve months.

This short-term planning of anticipated income, giving, and expenses is vital for bettering your financial health, because it gives you a good estimate of the amount of income you are able to save and invest. This exercise also shows how much money must remain in your account to cover deficits that would otherwise show up in future months and it shows how much discretionary income remains each month so you know the amount you can reasonably use to make purchases during current and future months.

If your budget shows you have a deficit going forward, then you need to find more income producing work that will allow your budget to show a surplus each month. This can be done via asking for raises and promotions at your primary job, looking for better paying work, taking on secondary jobs, or by engaging no cost low cost entrepreneurial efforts. Surplus money identified by your budget should be used to progressively (1) build a reasonable emergency fund, (2) eliminate debts, (3) save and invest at least 10% of your monthly gross income, and (4) give more abundantly.

The planning / budgeting process helps you properly care for yourself, your family, and Church ministry. It also helps build wealth from which you can generate more than adequate monthly income for the time in life when you may desire to retire or have to retire due to unforeseen circumstances.

Please pray for this ministry, email me with any questions, and contact me to speak at your business or ministry conference or workshop. May the LORD bless you richly as you follow His plan!

MoneyWalk 25 Hope For Your Life And Finances

This program will help you undo financial bondage.

The only hope worth having is contained in Jesus Christ, who gives eternal salvation. Upon declaring Him Savior and LORD, your eternal hope is secure. His resurrection and your belief in Him afford you a place in Heaven and begin the fulfillment of your purpose on Earth.

Eternal hope in Christ is not like worldly hope where you wish for things that may not come to pass, rather it is surety that you will see your Redeemer face to face in Heaven and spend eternity with Him. By the power of the Holy Spirit you will encourage many friends and family to put their faith in Christ, so they also can spend eternity with you in Heaven and the New Earth.

In this life, you hope to avoid catastrophe and daily turmoil or go through them victoriously and have your needs met, including those in the financial realm. The bible says believers will suffer persecution while we dwell on Earth but will be eventually delivered from it all to receive abundant blessing & reward for faithful-ness to the LORD. Eternally, this promise becomes real and true the moment you accept Christ. Rest assured your place in Heaven is secure. He will renew your mind starting now to understand that His plan for your life is best and affords you the life, character, blessings, and rewards that are best for you based on the purpose for which He created you.

Obedience to Christ involves conforming ourselves to biblical instruction in worship, prayer, bible reading, church attendance, evangelism, disciple-making, working to earn worthwhile income, tithing, budgeting, eliminating all debt, refusing to cosign, saving, and investing. This lifestyle forms the attitude, actions, and re-sources necessary to bring forth fruitfulness while you’re on earth. It secures your financial hope. For optimal health, you should spend no more than 70% of your take home pay on life-style. You will not necessarily get all the income, money, or material things your natural mind could want in this life, but you will definitely receive everything your body, soul, and spirit truly need and you can learn and take action with your life to live in the Wealthy Place the LORD designed for you on Earth and through-out eternity.

Please pray for this ministry, email me with any questions, and contact me to speak at your business or ministry conference or workshop. May the LORD bless you richly as you follow His plan!

MoneyWalk 24c Organize Records & Balance Checkbooks

This program will help you undo financial bondage.

Worksheets with instructions for balancing your checkbook against your checking account is readily available from your bank or credit union and easy to follow when performed monthly on a step-by-step basis. Make sure you have online access to bank / credit union account statements. If not, keep at least one-year of paper statements in a file. Those for different banks should be kept in their own folder by year and month issued, from January thru December.

If you have never balanced your checkbook against your check-ing account or have not balanced them in a long time, you should make an appointment with a bank / credit union repre-sentative to have them go over the balancing method so you know exactly where your funds stand. You will need the accurate account balance (that accounts for all checks and other obliga-tions written on the account that have not yet been paid) to en-sure an accurate account of your balance each month going for-ward. This helps you maintain a tight rein on your account so that money is not leaking out and thus can be used to propel you for-ward in greater giving, saving/investing, and wealth building.

Failing to regularly balance checkbooks against checking ac-counts keeps many people in a continual pattern of paying insuf-ficient funds fees and other charges and never having mishaps corrected. In most instances, if you wait too long to report a mis-hap you may never be able to get it corrected in your favor. You will lose the withdrawals that you failed to catch in a timely man-ner. You should want to make sure all money that is supposed to be deposited actually is in your account and that no money is withdrawn from your account except that which you acknowledge should be withdrawn.

When you get the budget process rolling along, your ongoing budget should mimic your checkbook ledger. When you are im-mediately recording deposits and withdrawals (including checks written) and consistently paying bills when due, you are on a path to alleviating financial bondage and correcting past irre-sponsible loan payment histories. Over the next year or so, your credit history and score will get much better and even more so as you press forward to pay more than the minimum due on monthly bills and to totally eliminate all debt.

Please pray for this ministry, email me with any questions, and contact me to speak at your business or ministry conference or workshop. May the LORD bless you richly as you follow His plan!

MoneyWalk 24b Organize Records & Balance Checkbooks

This program will help you undo financial bondage.

In this technology age, you do not usually need to physically store / maintain records produced by financial institutions (including banks / credit unions, brokerages, mutual fund companies, and investment companies) that hold assets and that are not creditors issuing monthly bills. They allow easy online access to your account information to be able to see the amount of your investments over the past few years including deposits and withdrawals.

Make sure you have safe user ID’s and passwords to protect you from identity fraud and theft. Passwords with two-tier authentication and that contain some capital letters, symbols, lower case letters, numbers usually provide a level of safety, but this can change over time so be careful to keep up on the latest and peri-od change account passwords for greater protection. Also, access your accounts at least once each month to ensure data does not appear to be breached and in order to review accounts for data entry errors, etc., to know if you need to inform your financial institutions to correct any errors, and to balance your checkbooks.

In a safe accessible location, keep a record of all your financial institutions websites and account access information. This allows quick and easy access to your financial accounts anytime you want to review information or make changes.

WARNING! WARNING! Tossing your mail / bills in the corner and refusing to open them each month, like some people have done in the past, will not take you to the financial promise land. You will dwell in a dry, poverty-stricken desert or fail to reach your full financial potential & ministry calling. You will not dwell in The Wealthy Place the LORD desires for you to be blessed and a blessing to many others.

If you are to really know the state of your flocks and herds per Proverbs 27:23 so you can count the cost per Luke 14:28 to as-certain whether or not your monthly budget can cover the pur-chase of desired merchandise and services, then you must weekly consult and regularly update data in your financial records filing system. After the day or so it takes to set up an appropriate recordkeeping system, it will only take a couple of hours per week to review, maintain, and use it to make appropriate bill payments and measure financial wherewithal.

Organizing your records allows you to put the Eleven Principles into action. Monthly balancing your checkbook against your checking account and regularly reviewing all financial institution accounts is necessary to ensure errors are corrected and data is accurate. This helps you truly know the discretionary income and assets at your disposal to maximize the Seven Step Plan by shortening the time it takes for getting you out of financial bondage and into the wealthy place.

Please pray for this ministry, email me with any questions, and contact me to speak at your business or ministry conference or workshop. May the LORD bless you richly as you follow His plan!

MoneyWalk 24a Organize Records & Balance Checkbooks

This program will help you undo financial bondage.

There are a number of ways you can organize records for purposes of making sure all financial data is in a few locations that can be quickly and easily accessed in order to know the data that should be used to periodically complete net worth statements and household budgets (giving-saving-spending plan), and to find current and past financial account information when needed.

1. Gather all the creditor billing statements (including utilities, etc.) that you have laying in piles on your tables and in drawers around your house. Make sure you at least have all the latest billing statements from all your creditors. For recordkeeping ease, put all billing statements in one filing system. Copy each billing statement creditors send you electronically each month. You may have to contact creditors to get copies of each billing statement so you have them all.

2. On a table, arrange each billing statement by day of each month on which payment is due from the 1st thru the 31st. When the payment due date fluctuates each month simply use the day of the month that tends to be the earliest ever requested by the creditor. For example, if your electric utility payment is generally due anywhere from the 12th to the 17th, then use the 12th as the payment due date for recordkeeping and budget (giving-saving-spending plan) purposes.

3. Once arranged in the above order, put all the bills in a filing system with tabs at the top of each folder / divider that shows the above noted day-of-the-month order for arranging records. The tab at the top of each folder / divider should be labeled with its own date from the 1st thru the 31st. as well as the name of one specific creditor’s billing statements that will be placed in that folder or behind that divider tab. When more than one creditor’s payment due date occurs on the same date then you should have that same number of folders / dividers with the same due date but different creditor names on them. For example, 1st-Home Mortgage, 1st-Car Note, and 1st-Cable subscription.

4. You only need days of the month recognized on folder / divider tabs when a payment is due on that date from at least one creditor. So, if the next date on which a payment is due is the 5th of each month, then your next folder / divider tab should be similar to 5th-MSUFCU Visa.

5. You should keep the billing statements for each creditor in January through December order during each billing year, so you know the last one received is always the one for which payment is due or payment has been made. Keep at least one year of consecutive billing statements and you can usually get rid of any billing statements older than one-year.

6. You should put a monthly recurring appointment reminder on your computer calendar or smart phone calendar that reminds you by email or text of each creditor’s payment due date at least seven days in advance of the payment each month to ensure you do not miss checking your budget and paying the bill on time.

7. When you get calendar email or text notification that a payment is due, immediately refer to the latest billing statement for that creditor in the filing system to either write a check and mail it, or use the phone payment option, or use an online payment option.

This recordkeeping system provided organization you need to identify (a) the consistency of each month’s payment due date for each creditor, (b) the amount due over the past year for each creditor, and (c) other data that will be helpful in charting your financial future via ongoing monthly budgets (giving-saving-spending plan) and periodic net worth statements. Without it or a similarly organize system you will make mistakes in timing and with money that will cost you dearly over the years by keeping you in financial bondage and outside of the wealth building process. Tune in to the next article to find out more about organizing other financial records.

Please pray for this ministry, email me with any questions, and contact me to speak at your business or ministry conference or workshop. May the LORD bless you richly as you follow His plan!

MoneyWalk 24 Organize Records & Balance Checkbooks

This program will help you undo financial bondage.

You must diligently organize financial records, balance checkbooks, and review all accounts to ensure errors are corrected (bank, credit card, investment accounts, etc.) in order to have a healthy financial life. At all times, good financial stewards know exactly how much money they have at their disposal or they are able to quickly find out from account ledgers. People who don’t organize and immediately record deposits and deduct withdrawals from account balances are usually in poor financial shape. They often write checks and take on debt payments for more than they can afford to spend.

Getting a current account balance from a teller or looking at your checking account online doesn’t show how much you really have to spend because many checks are cashed days or weeks after they're written. The fact that $1,000 was payroll deducted into your account on Friday doesn't mean that $1,000 is available for you to spend on desires until your next paycheck. You cannot know what you truly have available to spend unless you know what's in your account after you subtract all checks written and record monthly bills that still must be paid during the pay period. Also, you need to make sure there is room to save an adequate emergency fund for unexpected bills that will periodically arise. In addition, you need to make sure your account balance will allow you to have enough extra income each pay period to eliminate your debt within a couple of years or sooner if possible and thereafter to invest 10% or more in vehicles that will provide enough annual compound growth to build wealth.

It’s almost impossible to build an emergency fund, eliminate debt, and increase wealth without organizing financial records, balancing checkbooks, and reviewing accounts for errors. These practices help you know the state of your flocks and herds at all times so you can properly budget income, appropriately spend, save emergency funds, eliminate debt, and invest.

If you do not follow an organized accountability plan, financial institutions will rake you over the coals with non-sufficient fund fees, late fees, overdraft fees, and other account charges. In addition, you are likely to find yourself deeply in debt, possibly facing repossession, foreclosure, and/or bankruptcy. Open your eyes right now to see you can undo financial bondage, build wealth, and fulfill your God-given purpose when you properly manage money including organizing financial records, balancing your checkbooks, and reviewing all accounts to ensure errors are corrected.

Please pray for this ministry, email me with any questions, and contact me to speak at your business or ministry conference or workshop. May the LORD bless you richly as you follow His plan!

MoneyWalk 23 Manage Money By Love

This program will help you undo financial bondage.

In order to have a solid spiritual foundation, you must believe with all your heart that God loves you so much that He sent His only son Jesus Christ to die on the cross to eliminate the judgment due your sins in order that you, believing on Him, will have everlasting life.

He loves everyone equally in this same way and desires that everyone would choose to have relationship and fellowship with Him in Christ even though each one deserves eternal punishment for sins committed in this life. He already provided the blood sacrifice, mercy, and grace necessary to secure your salvation and eternal life. In addition, He provides every spiritual tool necessary to display faith in Christ and receive complete blessing & reward for your life so you can finish the race / journey prepared for you.

When you commit to Christ, the Holy Spirit lives in you and guides you to forsake sinful worldly ways of living by taking you through a continual maturity process (intimate worship / prayer time focused on Him followed by evangelism and disciple-making that incorporate good works). In order to obey His first and greatest commandment, you must love Him with all your heart, mind, soul, and strength. This love motivates you to obey the second commandment, which is to love your neighbor as yourself. Together, these are the foundation for all He made you to be and do.

This means His love must guide management of your life, including finances according to His will and way expressed in the bible. Engage a plan for giving, saving, and spending money on earth that (a) leads people to Him, (b) teaches them to obey His commandments, (c) keeps you and family spiritually and naturally healthy, and (d) allows you to increase income and assets to, in a greater way, serve His aim for you and others on earth. This must be a much higher priority than seeking to increase your material lifestyle and comfort.

His love and loving Him leads to daily prayer and bible study filling your heart with the Word. It also leads to regular weekly fellowship with other believers that encourage you to love and minister to others. These love-based disciplines faithfully and constantly aim you in the direction of engaging biblically based good stewardship of income, assets, and resources entrusted to you. When engaged, this ensures you fulfill God-given purpose and ministry calling to be blessed in order to be a blessing to many others.

Please pray for this ministry, email me with any questions, and contact me to speak at your business or ministry conference or workshop. May the LORD bless you richly as you follow His plan!

MoneyWalk 22 What Is Your Net-Worth?

This program will help you undo financial bondage.

You must calculate net worth in order to determine the state of your finances. It is the value of all assets minus the amount of all liabilities. Assets are owned goods or properties that have a market value expressed in dollars. They are in bank or brokerage accounts, etc. that show cash values or property that could be sold for a realistic estimated dollar amount.

Bank and brokerage accounts (e.g., savings, checking, certificates of deposit, mutual funds, stocks, and bonds) are considered liquid assets, which means they can be quickly cashed in at a financial institution or sold quickly to obtain the cash value. Other assets are considered illiquid, which means they usually cannot be converted into cash very quickly (e.g., houses, land, cars, artwork, and artifacts). In fact, you may not get the amount you believe they’re worth or you might get more at the time of sale because their value is based on what a buyer is willing to pay a seller at the time of the transaction.

The best assets to own as a bulk of your portfolio is usually a diversified portfolio of company stocks, generally through no-load low-expense stock index mutual funds like an S&P 500 or a total stock market index fund. They have more historical data from which consistently larger positive grow trends can be shown over a ten or more-year investing cycle than any other type of investment. For one who needs short-term protection from the stock market ups and downs, a 25 to 30% portion of investible assets can be put in stable value funds and/or no-load low-expense intermediate bond index mutual funds. In addition, after one pays off all non-mortgage debt, a minimum $10,000 emergency fund should be built and maintained. You may need to build a larger emergency fund if you know that you will soon face an emergency (layoff, large uncovered medical expense, etc.) and will need to cover it and/or household expenses you will not be able to adequately cover based on income.

Other assets (e.g. investment real estate, antique cars, etc.) could be worthwhile but usually require more skill to purchase, properly maintain, and appropriately manage, and accurately determine annual average growth patterns. In addition, they might not provide much risk protection and investing stability when you cannot own enough of them to truly be diversified. Thus, it is recommended that you first build an adequate emergency fund, second build the mutual fund portfolio usually on a dollar cost averaging basis, and then invest in other assets on a debt-free basis.

Liabilities are debts you owe someone else for material goods, services, or loans. This includes such items as business loans, real estate mortgages, student loans, car notes, revolving charge card balances, personal loans, etc. You should engage a debt snowball plan to as quickly as possible pay off what you currently owe because they lead to future trouble due to high finance charges and accumulation of many loans over time. Many people find it hard to make all payments required and live a reasonably comfortable life. They also find that required minimum monthly payments do not stop loan totals from continuing to grow to be more than the amount originally borrowed. Scripture does not give a picture of good and bad debt. It simply tells you to avoid borrowing and co-signing because they make you a slave to the lender, are speculative in nature, and harm the vast majority of people who continually use such methods to fund lifestyle. It confirms assets will be taken from many due to inability to make required payments. Advertisements and temptations convince people debt is great to get everything desired out of life. Yet, every year we see millions of people thrust into poverty due to usurious interest charges (payday & substandard loans), repossession, foreclosure, and bankruptcy.

At least annually, you should calculate your net worth to measure how successful your financial plan or lack of one has been. This will give you an idea of how far into the future you could pay your current debts or expenses if all income stopped coming in. This measurement is necessary because two decades ago the economy changed and layoffs became commonplace in many industries. Today, we see this in a more extreme way in that it has encumbered many of our main economic engines (e.g., banking, mortgage, housing, commercial real estate, automobile, and retail industries).

The ‘lifetime employment with one company dream’ came to a screeching halt. This current trend of changing jobs every 5-7 years, bouts of unemployment, and untimely emergencies and catastrophes that occur in your life should help you understand you will suffer financial hardships and great amounts of stress that will negatively affect your relationships when you do not follow God’s plan for managing finances and building net worth.

A Christian who continuously uses good stewardship will accumulate a greater net worth throughout his life that will allow him to weather economic storms better than others. He will also be motivated to help more people and give more to ministry work than people who are poor stewards who spend all their money on consumer purchases and debt service and thus fail to build wealth.

Please pray for this ministry, email me with any questions, and contact me to speak at your business or ministry conference or workshop. May the LORD bless you richly as you follow His plan!

MoneyWalk 21 Financial Obedience

This program will help you undo financial bondage.

Being obedient to God is of utmost importance when managing your money. If you do not consistently use biblical money management principles, you'll never reap benefits God wants you to have. He wants you to prosper, however true and lasting prosperity is had only when you consistently manage your life and resources according to biblical standards so you can sow time, talent, and money into spreading the gospel to other people and making them into disciples.

He wants to bless you immensely, rebuke the devourer, and stop satanic forces from causing spiritual and financial hardships. This comes only when you consistently work as unto the Lord, give abundantly, and serve others. Obedience is a necessary extension of faith that enables you to grow in stature with God and man. It develops in you New Testament saving and sanctifying faith instead of empty words with no godly action behind them.

Faith without obedience (corresponding good works) is dead when it doesn’t move you closer to the will of God in Christ and serve as an example for others to do the same. When you don't obey Christ by allowing biblical principles to guide your life, you become a servant to Satan, sin, and those you borrow from. Your life, purpose, and worth will be on a path of destruction that will hinder your ability to live godly, properly serve others, and prosper on earth. When left unchanged, this will lead to destruction of your relationship with Jesus Christ and forfeiture of the eternal life He wants for you.

Financial Obedience is faith-based and leads you on the road to financial prosperity and pursuit and fulfillment of the plan the LORD has for you. It leads to you employing a monthly budget that takes into account the proper priorities of giving first, saving next, and spending third. In addition, it leads to establishment of a suitable emergency fund, debt freedom, saving, investing, and diversifying assets. It helps you get the wealth He designed for your life and helps you use it in the way He intends. In this you will be blessed to be a blessing to many others.

Please pray for this ministry, email me with any questions, and contact me to speak at your business or ministry conference or workshop. May the LORD bless you richly as you follow His plan!

MoneyWalk 20 Walking By Faith

This program will help you undo financial bondage.

Our triune God (the Father, Jesus Christ the Son, and Holy Spirit) is infallible and unable to make mistakes. He's all-powerful and all-knowing and has the ability to make sure that what's translated for you in the bible is complete and whole. He guides born again believers that listen to Him in every area of life and every situation that arises by commanding them to keep specific laws in some areas and giving them principles with boundaries to use in managing other areas. In fact, He lives in us to direct us to His perfect will.

Search the bible and you will see that God identified Himself in these ways throughout scripture. If you're un-saved, your true need is not to be successful in this world to receive the accolades of men nor to simply have free time to do everything you think is pleasurable to you. Your true need is to accept Jesus Christ as Savior and LORD so:

1. Eternal life with God almighty is yours.

2. Your mind is renewed to pursue your true purpose on earth where your gifts, talents, and skills are meshed and entwined through your vocation(s) with evangelism and discipleship of others. This is the only way that you can mature in God’s will and it happens while you seek to lead other people to Him and be a catalyst for their growth.

3. Eternal blessings, which result from your willingness to labor for His will to be done in earth, can be deposited in your heavenly bank account to await your arrival in the new heavens and new earth.

Then, you need to allow your faith to rise to believe the real truth that God is everything He said He is in the bible: the way, the truth, the life, the rewarder of those who diligently seek Him, and the Almighty Judge of Heaven and Earth who will one day judge the living and the dead.

In addition to the fundamental practices of the Christian faith like regularly fellowshipping with other believers, daily bible study, praying and worshipping the LORD daily, it takes ever increasing faith to follow biblical instruction in areas such as: (a) Envisioning His plan for your life; (b) planning to aim at that future; (c) working to earn a living and build wealth; (d) budgeting so you don’t overspend your income; (e) eliminating debt and staying out of it in the future; (f) refusing to cosign; (g) saving; (h) investing; (i) diversifying assets; and (j) teaching your children to follow these practices.

In fact, it takes faith being built upon day in and day out, year in and year out to overcome all the unbiblical advice you’ll receive to do the opposite and to overcome your human nature which desires to handle finances and life in the same manner as the Joneses. Walk by faith and not by sight, in the Spirit, and not in the flesh and as you grow in Christ-likeness you’ll reap the best possible lifestyle and financial position.

Please pray for this ministry, email me with any questions, and contact me to speak at your business or ministry conference or workshop. May the LORD bless you richly as you follow His plan!

MoneyWalk 19 The Richness Of Contentment

This program will help you undo financial bondage.

Many people’s finances are messed up because they try to match other peoples' lifestyles. They're disenchanted with what they have because other people appear to have more than they do. When they're unable to achieve a greater status, they see themselves as failures. When they do obtain earthly riches or fame they're still unhappy because the God-given purpose for their lives isn't fulfilled. Some regret the occupational or living situation they've put themselves and their families in by seeking success the world’s way. Many continue in a downward financial spiral until they understand the LORD has a better path for them.

Stop measuring yourself by other people’s lifestyles and ideals of success. Without godly contentment operating in your life you cannot be on the path and fulfill the LORD’s purpose for you, which is the only lifestyle and accomplishment that is truly successful. When your eyes and ears are on men, what they have, what they think, and wanting to be like them, you cannot truly thank the LORD for where you are and what you have and you will not make the most of it because you've positioned your heart and mind in a way that will not listen to His direction.

The plan He has for your life and the things He wants to bless you with may not be the same as other peoples' blessings, yet the life you live and the path that you follow based on His purpose for you will ultimately be more fulfilling. God is pleased when you follow His instruction.

Always remember that life in your human body is like vapor: here today, gone tomorrow. In the scheme of eternity, it’s like a needle in a haystack; such a short time that it’s almost non-existent compared to eternity. It passes quickly and sometimes abruptly. So, ensure you’re intimate with the LORD to hear Him say, “Well done good and faithful servant. Now, enter into my eternal joy!”

This can only be had via a salvific relationship with Jesus Christ, which produces the richness of contentment in lifestyle, relationships, and finances. His contentment does not lead you to be a couch potato who believes nothing and fails to work. Rather, it causes you to seek His will concerning what to believe and work toward. Then, it is obedient in following Him and waiting patiently for the fruit to grow and ripen, even though at times it does not appear to the natural eye that much is produced and sometimes others ridicule you and you may suffer a while. A contented person never seeks ungodly or ill-gotten gain, rather he/she waits for God’s law of reciprocity to bring forth a great harvest. Then, he/she manages everything the LORD provides to continue magnifying Him by sharing the gospel with the world and making disciples of other people.

Please pray for this ministry, email me with any questions, and contact me to speak at your business or ministry conference or workshop. May the LORD bless you richly as you follow His plan!

MoneyWalk 18 Be Content

This program will help you undo financial bondage.

To grow spiritually, you must be content with the financial situation God placed you in. This doesn't mean you lack ambition to do more than you're now doing, rather it recognizes (A) your appreciation for the present blessings God has given you, (B) that you consider more intimate fellowship with Him to be the success you seek, and (C) that you step-by-step wait on Him to open doors that lead you to the fulfillment of your purpose and calling in Christ.

Understand, what you consider to be the path leading to success may not be the path the LORD wants you to choose. Blessing & reward on His path, far exceed what you would get from the path you would otherwise choose. You must learn to hear His direction and options for your life. These can be heard only through prayer, reading the word, living by the word, and fellowshipping with the saints.

These disciplines should motivate you to use the following biblical financial principles to manage your current and future income:

1. Working regularly and diligently. During periods of unemployment this means volunteering your time to worthy causes when you’re not beating the street looking for work.

2. Diligently budgeting prior to and through each month to ensure your expenses are less than your disposable income. This means trusting God to provide what you need (through other people, etc.) when you don’t have money to pay for it.

3. Tithing each pay period.

4. Building an emergency reserve account of at least $1,000.

5. Using excess disposable income to pay off current debt.

6. Refusing to continue using credit / debt to finance desires.

7. Building an emergency reserve account of at least $10,000 after all non-mortgage debts are paid off.

8. Invest at least 10% of your gross income in mutual funds, stocks, bonds, etc. via a combination of Roth IRA, 401k, and brokerage investment accounts.

When you delight yourself in Him by loving Him enough to do what He instructed, you'll receive the desires of your heart because the closer you get to God the more His desires for you and mankind permeate your life and become your desires. You'll then have contentment by giving and building wealth from your present income source and will eventually be promoted to a greater position of income and assets (which may include entrepreneurial endeavors) from which to serve the LORD and other people.

Please pray for this ministry, email me with any questions, and contact me to speak at your business or ministry conference or workshop. May the LORD bless you richly as you follow His plan!

MoneyWalk 17 Should You Do It Yourself?

This program will help you undo financial bondage.

Throughout your life, you'll be faced with situations where you'll have to determine whether it's cheaper to do a job yourself or hire someone else to do it. You've seen sitcoms in which a husband that has no carpentry skill keeps trying to perform repair jobs and his lack of ability costs the family more money and time than if he had immediately hired a competent professional to do the work.

This often happens in real life because it takes each person a bit of time and experience to understand how God specifically gifted him / her for a specific type of work in a way that allows him / her to perform quality work. Some people are simply not gifted to be great carpenters. Yet, this doesn’t stop most of us from trying to fix things we don't have the ability to fix because on the front end it seems much cheaper to do the job ourselves and it’s usually by trial and error that we begin to understand what we are truly gifted to do and able to become skilled at.

The first few times no one should blame you for trying to do work yourself. It's natural to press the boundaries of your ability to try and learn a new skill when the opportunity presents itself. Also, it is good stewardship to look for less costly ways to obtain goods and services, so you are not the foolish person who quickly spends all money received. This allows you to provide for your family’s needs and save and invest a portion of income the LORD entrusts to you. However, once historical evidence shows you're unable to provide quality workmanship necessary to adequately maintain your home and other areas of your life or that ‘doing it yourself’ winds up being more costly in the end, you should search for someone with a proven track record of providing quality services at the lowest possible price.

When a major job needs to be done, ask the question, “Should I do it myself?” Your answer should be a resounding “NO” when past history shows you’re not gifted to do the work, could not become skilled at doing it, do not desire to spend necessary time to do quality work in the arena in which you need service, or it is not cost effective for you to pull away from work for which you are skilled and called to do. Otherwise, you will become a poor steward of the time and money God entrusted to you because you will waste it trying to complete tasks you already know you cannot skillfully complete. To make matters worse, you will often have to pay someone else to re-do the work.

It is better to draw the right conclusion up-front about your skill level and capability, so resources are not wasted over and over again as you journey through life. The right person does not necessarily have to be a high-priced professional. When you’re strapped for cash you can draw from friends and family members who are gifted or skilled in the area of your need or who know someone that is and who can provide you with quality service at a cost that fits within your spending limit. If such help does not materialize when you think you need it, you must simply continue to have faith that the LORD will provide all your need in due time according to His riches in glory.

Please pray for this ministry, email me with any questions, and contact me to speak at your business or ministry conference or workshop. May the LORD bless you richly as you follow His plan!

MoneyWalk 16 Utilizing Other People’s Skills

This program will help you undo financial bondage.

Have you ever needed carpentry work, but no ability to do it yourself at a level that would be aesthetically pleasing? Have you purchased something only to find out later you paid far more than you had to? Have you needed to set up proper business and personal income recordkeeping and prepare tax returns and realized that much of what you need is beyond your expertise and ability to give much time to figuring out how to be an expert in the accounting field?

Most people experience these types of situations. You do not have to feel as though there is no hope for getting what you need and experiencing the beauty of a great result. Such situations can be remedied by knowing your limitations and finding people who have skills you need to get the job done effectively, efficiently, and sometimes less costly than if you tried to do it. We have sometimes found it beneficial to utilize other people’s skill and give them a chance to hone their skills and earn income even though we could have completed work we needed done. In many instances we paid them more than we could have saved doing it ourselves.

Never become a lazy freeloader or feel as though you are entitled to use other people’s time, expertise, or money at no cost to you. Entitlement is a mental affliction based on pride, arrogance, and covetousness that makes you obnoxious to others. You must do the daily things you need to do to survive, live comfortably, and make a positive impact on others in this world. Slothfulness – the unwillingness to do things you can do within normal daily living parameters and the gifts, calling, and skills the LORD has helped you attain - will make you unable to build the life and financial empire He desires for you.

Now that you’ve decided laziness is off limits, understand that failing to recognize where your skill ends will also cost you a great deal more than it will if you recognize He designed life so other people’s skills can help you and yours help them. There are certain things you know you cannot do effectively (decorating, plumbing, accounting, etc.). Search for someone with requisite expertise who will do a good job and, if necessary, allow you to pay less than normal until you're financially able to pay full price. It is a good practice to get at least three estimates and check each person’s work for former clients to make sure the person you select has a good work history and product. Also, never fail to pay what is due those who help you when it is in the power of your hands to do so. You will experience immense blessing and reward relationally and financially when you engage the practice of using other people’s skills.

Please pray for this ministry, email me with any questions, and contact me to speak at your business or ministry conference or workshop. May the LORD bless you richly as you follow His plan!

MoneyWalk 15 Benefits of Bargaining

This program will help you undo financial bondage.

Your ability to save and invest will grow by successfully bargain shopping for lower prices for items you purchase (houses, cars, furniture, jewelry, household utilities, clothing, beauty products, etc.). This consists of finding legal and ethical ways for getting them for a price well below what most people usually pay. You should not be a respecter of persons with the mindset, "give me Gucci or give me death." Also, you must exhibit patience in the process and recognize, when you do not purchase desired items right away, that similar merchandise and great deals will still be available well into the future.

Your mind must be renewed in Christ to realize there are safe, reliable, and valuable items sold in places other than higher cost neighborhoods, stores, designer labels, and name brand sections you’ve selected in the past. For example, household cleanser at dollar stores may be as good as higher cost cleanser purchased at well-known stores and blue jeans can be the same quality no matter which store you purchase them in. that are safe, reliable, and valuable that can meet your need.

Don't waste money for brand name loyalty when you're in a tight squeeze and do not absolutely believe higher prices equates to better quality, service, or reliability. Though there can be differences in quality and service, in many instances the same materials, workmanship, and reliability can be found in similar merchandise with different labels. In order to receive the wealth-building benefit the LORD desires, you must be willing to make some purchases at lower cost stores in which you did not previously shop to see if they have what you need. This will allow you to have greater cash flow for growth investing.

We engage the bargain shopping by doing what is stated above and by:

6. Continually asking the Lord for His blessing in this area.

7. Knowing He desires to bless His people above what our individual incomes can afford.

8. Trusting we don’t necessarily need to always have money on hand to cover all our needs and desires.

9. Becoming knowledgeable about store inventory and clearance practices.

10. Asking for discounts even when price tags don’t show they are available.

The money you keep in your treasury as a result of bargain shopping will make you wealthy over time when you consistently save and invest it over a 10-year or greater time horizon. My wife window shops about twice per week. This allows her to know the original price on items and the discounted price as time moves forward during retailers’ inventory processes. In one instance, for $27 she purchased a pair of curtains with an original price of $90. Two weeks later she was able to get a refund on the curtains because she purchased identical curtains at another store for $1.68. This has been replicated in our lives many times over and has never caused us to live beneath the privilege the LORD desires for us. You too can receive great financial benefits by engaging bargain shopping.

Please pray for this ministry, email me with any questions, and contact me to speak at your business or ministry conference or workshop. May the LORD bless you richly as you follow His plan!

MoneyWalk 14 Give And It Shall Be Given Unto You!

This program will help you undo financial bondage.

You might think you must now hold on tightly to your money and possessions because times have gotten very tough financially. However, God's financial plan works much different than what your human mind can comprehend. You must accept revelation from the Holy Spirit in order to understand that opening your hands to give to others does not cause a transfer of money that hurts your financial position. Rather, a continual heart of responsible giving from a proportionate share of all income the LORD provides you actually opens up the windows of Heaven to pour out continual blessings and rewards upon you, including financial.

Years ago, I put myself under a tremendous burden of debt by taking out many loans I did not need (student, cars, furniture, etc.) and continuing in that activity for over a decade. I should have saved money and bought things I really needed with cash and did without other things (many of which I cannot even remember) until I was in a position to purchase them debt-free. However, I thought I was very wise by managing my life the same way as many others around me. Thank God I noticed the devastation this was causing in my life. My finances were in shambles and I desperately needed help. I was looking for a way out of bondage and tried to follow most everything to get me out except biblical principles. None of it worked. They gave me false hope and encumbered me with more debt still buying experiences and things I really didn’t need at the time trying to live like people said I deserved while posturing myself to fake it til I make it.

Upon accepting Jesus Christ as Savior and LORD in 1992, I started praying, studying the bible, and attending a local Church to find out the way He instructs people to live to become more like Him. The Holy Spirit spoke to me directly and thru a few sermons about giving to spread the gospel and draw people to Christ as one of the major actions He guides people to engage to show His love and how this also helps them get out of debt because they then open their hands to receive and manage income and assets well in order to get the most out of them for the glory of God.

Prior to salvation, I would have thought it was outrageous to believe giving would help me get out of debt. Yet when I searched the scriptures for answers to relieve my bondage, I was led to passages confirming actions leading to fruitfulness and true success that confound worldly beliefs, which are in essence foolishness leading to greater troubles. So, I began tithing and offering believing God would deliver on His promise to meet all my need according to His riches in glory in Christ Jesus. It absolutely works. We have been giving 11%, 20%, and then upwards of 30% of our gross monthly income since being born again. This along with other principles like controlling our appetite for material things, planning / budgeting, making extra principle payments and other arrangements to eliminate debt, and refusing to cosign other people’s debts have put us in a debt-free possession since 1998 and made us multi-millionaires about a decade and a half later.

When you show yourself and others you are committed to resolving problems using His principles, you'll begin to see increases in your income and net worth through better money management, promotions, gifts from well-wishers, deals at stores, inheritances, and other supernatural provision. It is absolutely true that He is the one who already allows you to get all the money you will ever have. And it is equally true that He will give back to you a far greater measure than what you give, when you give a reasonable proportion of it to gospel ministry for His glory to be displayed in the earth and to help other people.

Please pray for this ministry, email me with any questions, and contact me to speak at your business or ministry conference or workshop. May the LORD bless you richly as you follow His plan!

MoneyWalk 13 Stop Unnecessary Cosigning

This program will help you undo financial bondage.

You've cosigned on a debt for someone by using your credit card(s) or by signing a note that says you will pay the loan amount if he / she is unable to. It didn’t seem to matter to you that he/she wanted the material thing for a desire and not a need. Also, you never considered that the LORD warns us not to cosign (become surety) for other people’s debts. Further, it didn’t appear to matter that he/she did not save a reasonable amount of money along the way for emergencies and situations he/she knows will occur from time to time.

Continuing to have these types of response to a person's request for you to cover their debt will continue to place you in tight financial situations and will cause you to be irresponsible in taking care of your family and God's business. Your money will soon be gone, no matter how much you have or make. You must watch and pray and observe those that labor among you. Remember, all have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God. In so doing, we have created bad habits in many areas of our lives, finances included. We need to be directed to walk the right pathway for handling our lives and finances so mistakes are not repeated and we do not live in continual financial bondage and beneath the privilege the LORD prepared for us.

The best way to help most people and yourself financially is to give them available cash if a true need arises. Definitely, discontinue cosigning and do not loan money to irresponsible people. Now, pray for and encourage them to use biblical principles to manage money and desires, so their true needs can be met. This includes practices like tithing, free-will offering, planning/budgeting income and expenses, building/maintaining a reasonable emergency fund, paying off all loans in order to live debt-free, refusing to cosign, saving, investing, and diversifying investments. In this way, you will not help push them and yourself into greater financial bondage and the pain it produces. Instead you will be leading them down the path of abundant life the LORD prepared for each one of us.

Please pray for this ministry, email me with any questions, and contact me to speak at your business or ministry conference or workshop. May the LORD bless you richly as you follow His plan!

MoneyWalk 12 Stop Unnecessary Borrowing

This program will help you undo financial bondage.

People and advertising constantly lead you to immediately pursue a lifestyle above what your income can currently provide. They entice you to spend everything you receive and to borrow even more money as the way to have it all. The problem is you have not been told about the grief that accompanies indebted-ness and the financial situations that often result from it like inability to pay all your bills, repossession, foreclosure, and bankruptcy. On top of that creditors continue to contact you and press you to get the money you owe them. The stress of these situations often negatively affect your mental, emotional, physical, and spiritual health.

Those in debt generally feel like they work to support their creditors! They see creditors building great wealth for their businesses and personal lives. The purchase of many material things over the years is not leading to the indebted person’s wealth accumulation because the value of those items depreciated rapidly, far below the purchase price, after they were bought. Many have absolutely no value.

Debt is insidious because the seemingly small monthly payments leads people to get even more debt, which eventually ac-cumulates to monthly payments and other bills close to or higher than their take home pay. They experience a cash flow shortage in their personal and/or business finances. While it leads them down this path their credit history gets much worse and they are charged higher interest rates which give creditors more of their money on top of principal payments. We have been consciously and subconsciously bombarded with messages and trained to follow this pathway such that we have now incorporated it in most every area of our life, such as buying cars, recreational vehicles, furniture, jewelry, clothing, mortgages, education (school loans), etc.

How many lenders or financial counselors told you the bible says, "The borrower is a slave to the lender" or “a wise man builds wealth but fools spend everything they get. Probably none. If you want misery throughout your life, continue to follow the ways of the world by continuing to borrow more and more and re-fusing to pursue debt freedom. However, you do have another option. You can put on the mind of Christ to engage good money management. By doing so, you heap to yourself the financial benefits you otherwise pay to those you borrow money from.

This process starts by (a) refusing to borrow any more money, (b) seeking additional income you can use to totally eliminate debt over the next year or two, (c) budgeting responsibly, (d) foregoing purchase of all unneeded material things until you are debt-free, and (e) trusting God to provide needs when you don’t have cash to purchase them. Your debt will be eliminated shortly and over time you'll accumulate massive savings and investments and a heart to give abundantly to endeavors that glorify the LORD. For the rest of your life, instead of creditors making lots of money off you, you will make lots of money off the interest and growth you get from your savings and equity investments.

Please pray for this ministry, email me with any questions, and contact me to speak at your business or ministry conference or workshop. May the LORD bless you richly as you follow His plan!

MoneyWalk 11 Why Should I Tithe & Give Offerings?

This program will help you undo financial bondage.

Failing to give the LORD the portion of your income He commanded traps you in a negative spiritual and/or financial condition. Frustration and heartache replace peace and joy when you do not honor God before you spend the lion’s share on yourself & give little to help other people. You should never want to be in the position of robbing the LORD of the proportion of income He provided you that scripture shows you should give for the betterment of you, your family, and the Church.

Often times people can look to this area of managing finances to identify that they are allowing satan to keep them in financial bondage. Marital arguments over money, wondering why you don't have money to care for things you consider needs, and the inability to save money for future needs and have more than enough for long-term investing to grow wealth are only symptoms / results of financial mismanagement. They are not the source of the problem. Yet, you cannot correct the situation and be led out of financial bondage until you recognize the problem and deal with it by changing your habits to engage good money management principles.

The LORD allows you to have all the income you live on right now and all that you will ever have access to! If you do what He commands He promised that He'll open the windows of Heaven and pour out a blessing on you. It will be so much you will have to share His blessing with many others. In addition, He promised to rebuke the devourer for your sake so such evil spirits do not ruin your life or your finances and thus you can be fruitful in all you put your hand to do.

A tithe is one tenth of your gross income. Offerings are free-will in nature and should be given cheerfully as you purpose in your heart to your local church, other ministries, and the needy. When you give abundantly the LORD will abundantly give to you so at all times in all things you will receive more than enough for every good work He calls you to engage and support. He will bountifully provide for those who faithfully tithe and give offerings to support ministry work.

Please pray for this ministry, email me with any questions, and contact me to speak at your business or ministry conference or workshop. May the LORD bless you richly as you follow His plan!

MoneyWalk 10 Your Income Is Enough

This program will help you undo financial bondage.

Many people judge their ability to manage their finances by how much money they actually receive from work and other sources in a month. It's easy to convince yourself that government assistance or minimum wage income or the low wage you think you make isn't enough to manage successfully or that your family situation, etc. are too much for your income to adequately cover and provide for abundant giving and future growth. However, it behooves you to have an active plan for managing income you receive no matter how much it is, otherwise financial turmoil overtake you because you fail to call things that be not as though they are and to inherit the promise through faith, obedience, and diligence in following biblical instruction.

No one, rich or poor, is excused from the biblical principle of knowing the state of his/her estate (income, expenses, assets, and liabilities) in order to manage it well and multiply it throughout his/her future. You will be richly rewarded when you prioritize your life to tithe or give in proportion to income with which you are blessed in order to spread the gospel of our LORD Jesus Christ via the Church as well as take care of family needs including saving & investing aligned with ascertaining and estimating future needs and worthwhile desires. This requires that you consistently expend on yourself and family less than your net monthly income.

Never refuse to give abundantly to fund the gospel, for you do not want to find yourself in financial turmoil because of your failure to give and manage money in a God-honoring way that also would have immensely blessed you. The LORD understands that most people, even after giving abundantly and saving & investing reasonably, will spend 50% to 70% of their net income on themselves and their immediate family. He is not upset with you for following such a pattern though as you become more intimate with Him via worship, thanksgiving, praise, and prayer your heart will grow over time to find yourself giving a higher percentage of your income and living off a lower percentage.

I have personally noted situations where the LORD moved a person to give an item to another person which that person could not afford but had need of. This has happened numerous times when no one except God knew the person's need. The LORD is not limited in His supernatural ability to provide your material needs and desires even though in the natural you or others have a perceived lack of income or seemingly hopeless financial situation. To receive the great economic / financial benefits the bible shows are available to each person, all one need do is put his/her hand to the plow to do what scripture instructs: tithe, give offerings, budget, eliminate debt, refuse to cosign, save, invest, and diversify. You will certainly experience abundance when you put faith into action, which is displayed by obedience to His commands and instruction.

Please pray for this ministry, email me with any questions, and contact me to speak at your business or ministry conference or workshop. May the LORD bless you richly as you follow His plan!

MoneyWalk 9 Diligence At Work

This program will help you undo financial bondage.

A necessary step to reversing your negative financial condition is to change your attitude about your current job. This applies whether you're self-employed or working for someone else. Begin to thank God for the work that is currently a blessing to you by providing an income you can use to take care of yourself, family, and other responsibilities.

No matter how small your paycheck appears to be, no matter how insignificant your position appears to be, and no matter how bad the atmosphere at work appears to be, you must thank God for His graces currently extended while you look forward to, envision, and set goals to capture future work opportunities along with greater income and employment relationships / situations that allow you to exercise your God-given gifts, skills, abilities, and purpose.

All experiences, whether good or bad, work together for your good because the LORD said so in His word. Your present situation will become a link to the next higher step in your career development when you become a diligent worker who does not murmur, who seeks to glorify Him by performing to the best of your ability, and who asks the Holy Spirit to help you find reasonable solutions to problem issues.

When you truly believe your work, employer, and/or entrepreneurial endeavors are blessings from Him and a step on the ladder that helps you fulfill His mission for your life and the Church, you oil the godly networking machine that positively changes your financial fortune. He is sure to show you how to stretch the income you receive and will increase it at various points in the future through promotions and new employment opportunities so you can do even more to reflect His glory in the earth and lead people to Him.

Please pray for this ministry, email me with any questions, and contact me to speak at your business or ministry conference or workshop. May the LORD bless you richly as you follow His plan!

MoneyWalk 8 Patience

This program will help you undo financial bondage.

Reaching your financial goals will not come overnight. You've embarked on a process that will take seed, TIME, and harvest to rid you of negative financial habits. By committing to biblical money management principles now, your financial condition will get better over the short and long haul. Don't be weary in well doing for in due season you shall reap if you do not faint. It's only a matter of time! You must remember, all things work together for good to those who love the LORD and are called according to His purpose.

After some time, you will be rewarded with a financial harvest when you plant money management seed according to biblical instruction via budgeting your expenses, living within your income, quickly paying off debt, and giving to support Church ministry. Soon you'll see the fruit of your financial planting spring up all around you. When sowing is constant throughout each year you will receive greater harvests in the same manner. Many abundant financial harvests await everyone who diligently and daily uses biblical principles to manage their finances.

Sure, financial struggles and difficult situations will come. Satan and the devilish forces don't want you to prosper, because prosperity allows you to properly minister to yourself, your family, and spread the gospel of Jesus Christ via tithing, offerings, and alms. Never fear the enemy’s tactics, instead walk by faith with patience and your Heavenly Father will rebuke the enemy who seeks to devour your finances. Our God shall supply all your need according to His riches in glory and will go beyond that to provide godly desires and more money for you to give for ministry service to evangelize the unsaved and make disciples of those who are saved. People shall be greatly increased when they are diligent in obeying the LORD’s instruction including those aimed at the financial arena of our lives.

Please pray for this ministry, email me with any questions, and contact me to speak at your business or ministry conference or workshop. May the LORD bless you richly as you follow His plan!

MoneyWalk 7 Financial Warfare

This program will help you undo financial bondage.

When you commit your life to following God's financial plan, your prayers will take on a more warlike tone because you may find yourself struggling with negative habits and potentially costly situations in the early stages of carrying out your plan as well as complacency, pride, and arrogance tempting you in the later stages. You must remember that you don't wrestle against flesh and blood (other men), rather you're wrestling against principalities and powers (spiritual forces) that want to keep you from fulfilling God's purpose for your life.

Your financial trouble may appear to be another person, what you were taught growing up, or an earthly situation. However, a demonic spiritual force is behind every type of stewardship that does not lead people to live and manage money in the manner outlined in the bible. This means satan is continually working to convince people to handle finances in ways opposite the LORD’s instruction. Unfortunately, many people fall for his tactics.

One of the most important things you must do to relieve your financial burden is place your flesh under submission and bring yourself under obedience to God's standards. Then, God will rebuke the devourer for your sake and you'll have the ability to use the word of God and the armor effectively in the financial arena to bind and cast out wicked spirits, ungodly philosophies, and influencers causing you to mismanage money. This helps you loose prosperous money management habits into your life by the power of the Holy Spirit (such as (a) working as unto the LORD to earn ever increasing income, (b) developing a giving / saving / spending plan that pleases Him, (c) building an emergency fund, (d) eliminating debt, (e) refusing to cosign, (f) saving, (g) investing, and (h) diversifying).

When you've done all you can to be intimate with Him via worship (thanksgiving, praise, prayer, studying scripture, fellowshipping with like-minded Christians, and adhering to biblical financial principles), stand firmly on what the bible says is the truth of how to manage money. The diligent person produces great reward in his/her life for the LORD’s glory that His name will be heard and revered in all the earth and so many other people will be blessed via giving, alms, gifts, and ministry support.

Please pray for this ministry, email me with any questions, and contact me to speak at your business or ministry conference or workshop. May the LORD bless you richly as you follow His plan!
