This
program will help you undo financial bondage.
Search the Bible to understand satan’s
tactics. Ask the Holy Spirit to help you see when the enemy is employing his
wiles against you, including when they seem like a good thing presented to you.
Eventually, the results will be destructive. The enemy presented instructions
to Jesus, taken from Old Testament scriptural descriptions:
** Turn these stones to bread to
relieve you hunger.
** Throw yourself down from the temple
pinnacle to prove your eternal stature.
** Fall down and worship me to gain
the world and its riches.
To many people, such enticements seem
acceptable to the human mind (the flesh, the eyes, and human intellect),
given desires raging in us for pleasure, notoriety, power, success, etc.
However, they were temptations far off the mark because they attempted to lead Jesus’
heart away from trusting Father God in order to complete the work He was sent
to do.
He knew the devil (father of
lies) was talking and understood heavenly instruction for His life. Following
these temptations would have turned Jesus toward satisfying selfish desires
instead of trusting the Father and Holy Spirit to get Him to His ultimate
destination. Worse yet, there would have been no way for mankind to be redeemed
from eternal damnation, the penalty of our sin.
You should also refuse to follow
satan’s instructions, no matter the manner they are given (via worldly
counselors, the Joneses lifestyle, or your ungodly humanistic thoughts patterns).
When you know satan’s tactics, you can avoid being his prey along with the hurt
he would otherwise bring into your life. One tactic to be aware of is predatory
lending. Lenders who employ such techniques generally get you hooked into loans
that charge very high interest rates and fees. They ethically defraud you by
offering loans way too high for your income to handle. The perpetrators aren’t
interested in truly serving by helping you get out of debt and better your financial
situation. They intend to place you and many other people in positions that
keep you locked into a continual series of predatory loans that keep you in
financial bondage and forever indebted to them.
Many people feel trapped by these
lenders because they don’t apply godly wisdom to their stewardship of resources
Father God entrusts to them. They fail to:
** Budget to tell money where to go
instead of wondering where it went.
** Crucify lusts by refusing to
love material things so much they’ll get them at all costs.
** Work a plan that eliminates debt
and financial bondage from their lives.
** Get into a position where they
can pay cash for things desired instead of taking out loans to get them.
Don’t fall victim to predatory loan
schemes and those who perpetrate them. Be more than a conqueror who uses godly
wisdom to walk in victory by refusing poor money management and lifestyle
practices. Remember, the borrower is slave to the lender. The Lord doesn’t want
you to be satan’s slave or servant. No son or daughter of His becomes entangled
in pursuits conflicting with His instructions. The aim is to satisfy the One who
enlisted you to be a witness, disciple-maker, and godly example to other people.
