MoneyWalk 467 Become A Great Worker & Leader

This program will help you undo financial bondage.

I believe and have found peace in Jesus' proclamations that "a person who would truly be a leader must be servant of all" and "that apart from Him a person can do nothing." The work you do will not be eternally meaningful or worthwhile unless you lift it to Him in prayer, He directs the doing of it, and your heart is aimed at doing your best for His glory.

Ask the Lord each day what contribution He would have you make in this world that would please Him. He plans to use your words and your work to draw people to Himself so they will have peace and joy in their hearts and a home in Heaven when they exit this Earth. Then, they can truly be fulfilled and blessed by pursuing and doing what they are made for and use the influence gained and opportunities presented to lead others to Him.

You are likely going to be working for an employer or yourself for more than forty years and definitely want to find the most fruitful, peaceful, and joyful way to do so. You want the work to represent more than enduring drudgery to pay the bills. Also, the humble customer service and skill displayed doing the work should positively serve other people. Make sure you set aside time each day and week to rest your body and mind to rejuvenate your strength and mental capabilities. Every so often you should take at least a one to two-week vacation. This will allow you to continue to give the best of yourself to the people you serve in every arena in which you are engaged (Church, employer, self-employed, etc.). Otherwise, pressures and stresses will seriously mess you up emotional-ly, physically, and spiritually.

Open your mind to the fact that you will always likely engage more than one type of work or volunteer service. For example, I have worked for over 30 years and have also been volunteering in various ministries at the local Church we attend. In addition, I have been writing MoneyWalk articles and speaking at Churches and conferences to help other people become better managers of the money the LORD entrusts to them. From time to time, I find He moves me to work in other arenas for which He puts a passion in me for that time in my life. I engage them because I know they bring a smile to His face and will serve me well. You will find the same when you seek Him and serve others in the way He instructs, and you will find that He has been grooming you all along to be a con-summate leader that can be trusted.

Please pray for this ministry and email me with any questions. May the LORD bless you richly as you follow His plan!

MoneyWalk 466 The LORD’s Will Above Your Passion

This program will help you undo financial bondage.

Some surmise that happiness comes from the intersection of what you love, what you're good at, and what the world needs. If you follow your passion, then everything will always turn out to your satisfaction and reward. That sounds good on the surface but underneath it is full of rotting bones. Only the LORD knows all, can see all, and has the power to do all things. We do not have such power, and that is why the scriptures tell us man has a plan, but the LORD determines man’s steps and that we should seek first His kingdom and righteousness and all the other things will be added to the person who does this. He always tells us to ask Him for guidance and wisdom to know the path we should travel.

Our passion is like our righteousness, it is filthy rags. Thus, you never want to make passion and your like or dislike of a certain type of work / service into the supreme commander of your choice as to which career, ministry, or work pursuit to follow. Passion is only one of several components that should be considered in order to find temporal happiness. Also, remember that happiness (emotional feeling) will ebb and flow in this life. Sometimes its strong and you feel euphoria and sometimes it seems to have flown away and you feel distressed.

First and foremost, you should worship the LORD daily and allow Him to speak to your heart about the work He made you to pursue for His glory and your eternal benefit. Interesting thing is, this will look like many of the types of work / service we have in the past called secular and acted as if they are wholly inadequate for identifying holiness (i.e., accounting, engineering, secretarial, sales, garbage collection, parts assembly, etc. God designed many for these types of work and they are honorable when performed as unto the LORD and if we are willing to give them up at any time if He so directs us to do so for a difference phase of our lives in which He will move us to another type of work / service.

As the Holy Spirit leads obtain skills from school / training by asking Him to help you solve problems to help other people and become an expert in your chosen field. Many have difficulty at some points in their lives finding what truly would make them happy or what I their passionate about. Their minds can envision many things they think would make them happy (fine houses, expensive cars, being president, pope, a Nobel prize winning scientist, etc.) yet some of the things obtained have not actually made them happy.

Most teenagers and young adults, even those in college, do not know what they are passionate about and often we press them into making decisions too quickly that may backfire upon them at a later point in life in that they may find that an area they, their parents, and society have paid a lot for them to become educated on is not the area they are really designed to work in when they grow up. There is a small portion of people who know exactly what they want to become (entrepreneur, doctor, lawyer, engineer, auto mechanic, plumber, electrician, police, fire fighter, etc.). Yet the majority need to try a variety of jobs, training, on-the-job work experience, volunteering, ministry outreach, etc. in order to get the juices of serving and problem solving flowing. This will help them begin to understand the arena in which they should be working. One only needs to be afraid of immoral types of work.

Such thinking & action bathed in prayer, knowing moral versus immoral, and exercising your mental and physical faculties according to His will helps you focus on the steps you need to take to pursue and do the work / service to which you are called. It produces great blessing and reward in your life and serves as the example the LORD wants others to see and emulate.

Please pray for this ministry and email me with any questions. May the LORD bless you richly as you follow His plan!

MoneyWalk 465 Those Who Fund The Gospel Are Greatly Rewarded

This program will help you undo financial bondage.

Satan uses finances as an avenue of negative influence by convincing Christians that God has no money management standards and instructions, nor rewards for those who adhere to them. In such Christians, giving to spread the gospel is almost null and void when measured against the income they receive. Not only are they not spreading the gospel with their mouths, they are also not involved in spreading the gospel by giving to a local church and missionary endeavors. Satan has waged an all-out war and we must recognize it in order to have spiritual and economic victory over the enemy!

The heart of those that give sparingly lead them to actions that keep their resources from being greatly used by God to bless others and lead them into a relationship with Jesus Christ and from being used to discipline themselves so they can be released from financial bondage.

They speak of proportionate giving as a biblical instruction, but only so they can give a smaller proportion of their income to the Lord’s work over the years (and feel good about it) in order to fund the materialism inherent in their selfish thoughts & lifestyles. They sometimes mock other Christians who believe in giving at a higher level (tithing, etc.). They believe some people are too poor to give to help spread the gospel. Some argue with other Christians accusing them of preaching or operating in legalism. However, Abraham and Jacob tithed before the law was ever written and scripture points to the action being directed by faith and it continues to lead many people out of financial bondage and into a spiritually disciplined lifestyle that gives them greater opportunity to fund the gospel message and lead people to Jesus Christ. The naysayers often expend minimal effort spreading the gospel and leading people to Jesus Chris, yet spend a lot of time disputing Christians over issues on which they do not really understand.

Learn to be grateful for other people’s abundant giving even though you may not be at that place right now. Continue to ask the LORD to show you His will via study of the whole counsel in the bible. He will lead you to be a believer with a heart to give abundantly so you can be used by the LORD to a greater degree throughout your life to shine His light and pour His love on other people. He promises that those who sow abundantly will reap abundantly.

Please pray for this ministry and email me with any questions. May the LORD bless you richly as you follow His plan!

MoneyWalk 464b God Blesses Entrepreneurial Endeavors

This program will help you undo financial bondage.

Unfortunately, some people on both sides of the employment ledger (business-owner / CEO and employee / worker bee) do not realize the unique place in which God positioned the other. This sometimes causes them to have a respecter-of-persons attitude that distrusts, belittles, and considers those at the other end of the spectrum unworthy of God’s greater blessing and reward.

You can be delivered from this type of attitude by understanding that each work role is vital and honorable before God and is to be performed as unto the Lord. You should overcome haughty and high-minded mentalities by understanding that entrepreneur often go through years of training as employees before being able start businesses. They should desire respect from other people and display the same respect to others no matter what their employment positions and titles.

Do not mistreat and put down people who work for you or with you. Rather, treat them with the utmost respect and ensure your advisory board establishes workplace rules, safety procedures, employee compensation, and benefits packages in accordance with the scriptural command to love your neighbors like you love yourself.

If you truly want to be fulfilled and know that God is pleased with your endeavors, make sure that the type of work is not immoral or illegal. Also, make a habit of frequently announcing to yourself, and others when necessary, that God is the true owner of the business and you are the manager of His affairs for this endeavor. In addition, frequently invite Him to speak to you and your board of advisors about the vision, goals, organization, workflow, and witty ideas and ways to fulfill the calling He has given you via the entrepreneurial endeavor.

Many of the same practices that make for successful stewardship of personal finances also make for successful stewardship of entrepreneurial endeavors. For example, planning and budgeting income and expenses, eliminating debt, working to operate on a debt-free basis, refusing to cosign, maintaining greater than necessary cash flow, establishing $10,000+ emergency fund, saving, investing, and diversify investments and asset. Using these tools as part of the spiritual moral foundation outlined above will greatly prosper your endeavors.

The LORD is the only one able to keep you from falling and point you in the right direction concerning business needs and pursuits. He will strengthen you to overcome the trials, obstacles, and hardships that you will face in this arena. Ultimately, He will let you know or let situations tell you when, for how long, and for what purpose you are to pursue entrepreneurial endeavors. For some this lasts a lifetime and spans many generations and for others it may be a much shorter time period. Trust Him as your guide and He will make sure you reach the fruitful & profitable finish line He destined for you!

Please pray for this ministry and email me with any questions. May the LORD bless you richly as you follow His plan!

MoneyWalk 464a God blesses entrepreneurial endeavors

This program will help you undo financial bondage.

Everyone is designed to work, and many people are fashioned and skilled to work for others, yet some people are gifted with vision and abilities that thrust them into entrepreneurial endeavors. Work in any of these forms God created are good because they allow people to exercise their mental, physical, and spiritual well-being and take dominion over the earth and everything that God created in it.

Each person should realize that he is no more special than any other person regardless of the role that he plays in the work environment: that of a business-owner / CEO or a secretary / worker bee. We simply play different roles and each one is ordained by God and honored by Him if the type of work performed falls within the bounds of biblical morality.

Many of those truly gifted, called, and trained as business-owners and corporate executives generally have a different level of vision that allows them to see the end goal that seems to others impossible to achieve. They are also able to formulate a plan of attack that will allow them to reach the goal even though current resources often appear to others too meager to reach the goal.

In order to grasp the fact that God will bless people who pursue entrepreneurial endeavors and even more so when they present them as a sacrifice to Him, one only needs to read and ask the Holy Spirit for understanding concerning the entrepreneurial endeavors of Abraham, Jacob, Job, Boaz, Jesse-father of King David, Joseph of Arimathea, Lydia-seller of purple, and many others contained in scripture. He is delighted when people use the skills, abilities, and resources He gives them in order to serve other people in a positive manner by providing employment, products, and services that can help them live a better and more fulfilling life.

Everyone cannot at the same time become entrepreneurs otherwise those truly called to such endeavors would not be able to meet staffing needs to bring forth the vision God has given them. Thus, those called to business should honor and treat their employees well recognizing they are partners in the grand plan God is using to make products and provide services for the betterment of mankind.

Please pray for this ministry and email me with any questions. May the LORD bless you richly as you follow His plan!
