MoneyWalk 403 Tithing Produces Blessing & Reward

This program will help you undo financial bondage.

Abraham and his progeny tithed prior to the law being written. The written law contained three different tithes. Jesus spoke of not leaving tithing undone. And, Hebrews speaks of the One in Heaven (of whom it is witnessed that He lives) receiving the tithe given to Him through men on earth. The tithe is given from a person's increase. For an employee, "gross pay" is representative if your increase, whereas "net pay" is only a portion of your increase. If the difference between your gross pay and net pay did not represent real dollars, Uncle Sam would not receive anything on which to operate government, pay our federal employees, and take care of the nation’s expenses. Thus, the difference is real dollars accounted to you, then taken from you as taxes routed through the IRS.

When asked what they make, you never hear people quote a net income figure or take-home pay. They always identify the gross amount because this is the amount they were actually paid during the year. When their employer identifies the amount they make per year, it always identifies the gross amount because this is the amount of money the employer actually paid them. When you work for an employer, gross pay is your increase, regardless of whether you receive it directly and must pay expenses out of it or whether the employer pays expenses out of it to someone else on your behalf.

It would be out of order to consider net pay the basis for tithing (due to the premise that you only tithe on what is actually received in your pay check) because you could do many things to cause net pay to be far less than gross pay. For example, you could have child support taken out of your check or you could have your pay garnished and sent to someone who holds a judgment against you. If these things are not increase, the receiver would not want it because he / she would not be getting real money.

The current mechanism for taxes being taken out of your pay up front by employers was established by the government to ensure that people did not fail to pay taxes during the year, then spend all their earnings, and then be unable to pay taxes after the end of the year.

Entrepreneurs / business owners are in a different situation, because they incur some expenses long before they receive revenue from customers. Such expenditures give them an opportunity to receive income, and hopefully abundantly. Thus, they can reduce gross pay by the amount of expenses necessary to obtain revenue and the result would be their true increase.

It is always best to offer the Lord the best of everything earned (the first-fruit of your increase) because you want to (1) recognize His handiwork in your life, (2) thank Him for continuing to abundantly bless and reward you and meet all your need according to His riches in glory, (3) do your part to advance His kingdom and Church, (4) help meet other people’s needs, and (5) give you the desire of your heart as you delight yourself in Him.

MoneyWalk 402 Evangelize & Make Disciples By All Means Possible

This program will help you undo financial bondage.

Throughout life, there will be many situations where you should employ every type of witness and disciple-making imaginable: Christ-like living, speaking the gospel message, wearing Christian paraphernalia, and according to biblical principles properly managing money the LORD entrusts to you. You certainly should use methods that do not violate biblical standards of morality. However, you cannot afford to let satan convince you that any positive method of evangelization and disciple-making are not useful in helping people see the value of accepting Jesus Christ as Savior & LORD.

Anyone convinced by satan that the above noted methods are somehow ungodly will be ineffective in at least some fields in which he or she is planted. The enemy’s ultimate vision is to convince each person of the ineffectiveness of more and more methods until he/she is estopped from communicating his/her witness at all. Some have bought into the belief that they do not need to communicate the gospel in any way rather they only need to live right in front of others and that this alone will lead others to Christ. When you supposedly live right but never speak the gospel message unbelievers know you as no more than a good man or woman.

Unbelievers are not particularly drawn to Christ because of your good deeds alone because they see many other people of all religious and non-religious backgrounds doing good earthly deeds. You might encourage them to become a good man or woman on earth, but without Christ leading their lives men and women who do good deeds throughout life bring upon themselves the same eternal damnation that is upon those we believe are the worst despots in history, simply because no one’s works can ever be good enough to earn salvation and eternal life. Only your acceptance of Christ’s atoning sacrifice makes you righteous enough to have your name written in the Book of Life.

Your intellectual prowess and good deeds do not cause unbelievers to accept Christ. It is the work of the Holy Spirit that draws them to Him using His words spoken by you and good deeds He inspires you to do. We witness of Christ's perfection as the only one who can offer salvation and eternal life to all who come to Him, for we have no perfection of our own no matter how many good deeds we do! Anytime and any way in which we glorify Him is an opportunity that He can use to draw unbelievers unto Himself, whether by communication, Christ-like living, paraphernalia, or managing money He entrusts to you.

MoneyWalk 401 Only The Unadulterated Truth Will Set You Free

Below is a view on the truth and the only way in which we can maintain the freedoms (including economic / financial) that we have enjoyed for several centuries, which other people in nations around the world have desperately longed for even while some of them have been socialized to hate our nation. There is always a greater level of maturity that each person and this nation can pursue and attain. However, this goal should be pursued in accordance with the pathway lighted by the bible in a way that protects our standards that provide freedom from people (citizens and immigrants) who would employ tactics meant to take it away. It is interesting that our nation can be, at the same time, loved and hated. Some hate our nation, yet when their people long for freedom and opportunity this nation is the foremost place they seek to come for freedom of religion, non-religion, education, jobs, entrepreneurial endeavors, etc.

Jesus and the Kingdom of God endured this same love hate relationship. The government and religious leaders did not like Him because His very presence, way of living, and teaching convicted them of sin that resided in their hearts and was acted out by their bodies. Even though He showed them the way of salvation and eternal life, they were not willing to develop a relationship with Him and live in accordance with His instructions because of their desire to maintain earthly power, that by the way would only last for a very limited time). Many of them hated and reviled Him and exhorted all other people to do the same. Unfortunately, many of the people followed their pattern and did not receive the great earthly and eternal blessing and reward He prepared for them. They were not eternally secure but to others on earth they looked very good in positions of power, prestige, fame, immoral independence, and spiritually rebellious creativity. Yet being totally committed to the Father’s will until Judgment Day arrives and in order to give us the pathway that would allow each person of his own free will to receive the best for his / her life, Jesus would not use divine power to overthrow earthly kingdoms during His initial bodily visit to the earth. But all things will consummate in His righteous rule and reign after the Great Tribulation.

There are some who desired to live godly in that day, and some who desire it today, who love Jesus Christ despite opposition and persecution they would suffer for His name sake. Once they accepted Him as Savior and Lord, their minds were illumined to understood they are citizens of Heaven passing through the earth on a short pilgrimage. Also, they understand their jobs were to utilize the spiritual, mental, and physical gifts and abilities they had been given by God to make the earth a better place while they live here. There are many pathways that can be used (entrepreneurial endeavors, non-profit work, social services, helping the poor, caring for widows, government service, etc.), but the world will only be truly made better by us as we lead more and more people into an intimate relationship with Jesus Christ and disciple them to walk in His godly ways. Only then will the moral fiber of our righteous LORD become pervasive in a way that truly leads the people into greater blessing and reward. Let’s not ruin the moral foundation that makes our nation the prime destination for those who want freedom and the economic, financial, and spiritual blessing it produces for them and their loved ones.

The other extreme, rebellion against God, is a moral failure that leads a person, nation, and world to utter destruction that will show up on earth in some instances and throughout eternity for all those who remain rebellious unto death. One must repent of sin and turn wholeheartedly to God’s will through accepting Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord in order to receive His best for his / her life.

We need to know and share the truth even though we are likely to suffer persecution just as Christ did for saying and doing what was right but you must speak and do what is right in order to please Him. 1Peter 2:20-23 shows you get no brownie points for suffering when you are punished for doing wrong. But if you suffer for doing right and are patient in that suffering, God is pleased with you and you will ultimately receive blessing and reward. This is what God has called you to do. Christ, who was sinless and without guile suffered for you and is your example. Follow in His steps. He did not retaliate when He was insulted. When mistreated, He did not threaten to get even. He left His case in the hands of Almighty God, who always judges righteously. You can and should do the same as you go about sharing the truth.

MoneyWalk 400 Refuse Ungodly Advice

This program will help you undo financial bondage.

There are deceitful financial advisors who are motivated by greed and selfish ambition. Some even have the highest academic credentials and positions, and time spent in the financial world. They engage immoral tactics or illegal trade, often using great pressure to try to convince you that they can guarantee astronomical or at least uncommonly high investment returns. If you let them they will “Made-off” with the money the LORD entrusts to you.

Their dishonest sales tactics, investment churning, and/or illegal trade eventually leave you with nothing or very little of your initial investment. Many of them run Ponzi schemes by giving you statements showing investment return that is actually money that came directly from other bamboozled investors. This helps keep their dishonest scheme going as long as possible. It is possible your statements will be found to be fraudulent and thus you will not actually have any money available to you: principle or investment growth. In addition, any money actually given to you could be clawed back from you by bankruptcy attorneys when the schemer is found to be insolvent and the subject of federal or state regulatory actions.

The best antidote against this type of deceitful advisor is to discern the schemers, to only use a financial advisor who has a good reputation among Christians who are good money managers, follows principles of finance contained in the bible, and truly has your best interest at heart. Such advisors believe everyone should be pursuing total debt freedom, should not be of a mind to get-rich-quick, should believe steady conservative plodding brings great success, and believes you should diversify investments so none represents more than ten percent of assets.

Advisors with such beliefs put God first in everything they do and teach you to do the same. They won’t succumb to greed, deceit, undue pressure, and customer abuse. They will identify the best products and services they can offer while also teaching you how to obtain the best products and services when you find the need to shop other brokerage houses and financial institutions. They will teach you biblical money management principles that will bless you immensely throughout this life and eternity. In addition, they will help you wisely measure other financial advisors who approach you about managing or investing money. Their heart to help people by always seeking to please God lead them to deal honestly with you to find what truly serves you best.

MoneyWalk 399 Failures Are Only Steps to Success

Be truly successful at building true wealth in your personal, business, and ministry endeavors by always making the LORD’s will and support of His Great Commission your top priority. In the midst of this mindset and initiative to make it happen, failures will occur. You must always remember your efforts are never in vain when you stay focused on Him and persevere through obstacles that seek to keep you from His blessing and rewards.

Everyone suffers earthly failures on their road to success. Many steps to success are called failures on earth, but these situations are used by the Master to strengthen us, build our endurance, and give us wisdom to make good choices down the road. When you are about your Father’s business, He doesn’t count previous wrong circumstances as failures when you long to do His will and support His work throughout the future. He counts them as steps in your progression that will mature you to handle more responsibility in His kingdom.

That is why you do not have to fear failure. It is only helping you ultimately achieve success by initiating you in the process of research, trial, and error until you find the sweet spot that produces meaningful service and tools that you and other people can use to enhance lives, abilities, and skills. It has been said that Thomas Edison experienced a thousand failures before he was able to produce a lighted bulb. You will find that most successful employees, entrepreneurs, and gospel ministers found their lives littered with many failures along their paths that were made sweet by the few successes eventually produced through the analysis of their failures and the perseverance to keep pressing on until they saw the result they envisioned.

That is why faith and trust in the LORD are of utmost importance in snuffing out the misconceptions about failure and its ability to otherwise make us consider giving up the pursuits that really matter. It is the most awesome feeling knowing He has your best interest at heart and that you can proclaim good fruit from those good things you are currently doing but cannot see even though the good fruit does not currently seem to exist. He did not give you a spirit of fear, but one of power, love, and a desire to excel at doing His will and this will lead you through the minefield of failure until you become successful at all He called you to.
