Don’t
miss the opportunities for planning to preserve yourself and serve the massive
number of people who are in need of salvation, sanctification, and blessings
from Jesus Christ. Without Him you can do nothing worthwhile. In partnership
with Him you can do some very positive things for yourself and family like
buying life insurance, living within your means, building cash reserves, and diversifying
investments.
Planning
should begin by talking with Him daily, listening for guidance, and studying
scripture to develop intimate fellowship with Him. Augment this by weekly
attending local Church fellowship. Also, seek counsel from godly people to
develop plans for overcoming trials and tribulations you’ll face throughout
life. In addition, identify your present financial condition and determine how
you can best manage money and grow resources to fulfill the purpose for which He
made you. Pursue it in conformity to the Great Commission and your gifts,
callings, and abilities. Only engage legitimate work that produces good fruit
in spiritual and secular settings.
Finally,
write down your strategy for fulfilling God’s will because this will enable you
to remember plan specifics, follow the plan, measure how it's coming along,
tweak it when necessary, and produce the fruit you are seeking to grow. Heaven
belongs to you, so the Lord will provide in your times of need when you place
your trust in Him. Nothing will hinder you from glorifying Him, witnessing to
the lost, edifying the saints, and being a great blessing to many other people
in every venue of life. And, you’ll have more funds to use to do it than you
otherwise would have available.
