This program will help you undo
financial bondage.
In
case an accident or happenstance kills you or renders you unable to earn a
living or care for yourself or family or destroys valuable property, you should
purchase life, disability, automobile, homeowners, umbrella, or other types of
insurance as tools to cover loss of expected future income or depletion of
assets and to help meet medical, physical, and legal representation needs
brought on by the situation.
Analyze
your true need in discussions with family members and trusted advisors before
you purchase insurance and decide the limits of liability and benefits that best
suit you and dependents. You should consider your monthly bills, household
income that will be available after an occurrence, the amount of assets available
to help cover bills and other needs, how much income will remain after bills
are paid, the time period during which you need particular types of coverage, and
how long the insurance benefits will need to cover living expenses for
surviving dependents. Also, consider the array of benefits different types of
insurance will provide if future claims are made against them and what your
family stands to lose if accidents occur and you are not covered by insurance.
Once
you've purchased the amount of insurance best for you, know this is a mechanism
acceptable to the Lord for helping care for your needs and provide peace of
mind. Certainly, He’s your ultimate protector while risk management tools, like
insurance, are resources He gave man intellect to develop to help you meet
needs along life’s journey. This should help you avoid purchasing unnecessary
and unaffordable insurances that eat up dollars that should be invested for future
financial growth and stability. As you wisely manage your income and build
wealth, you may grow out of the need to purchase certain types of insurance or
you may be able to increase deductibles or you may be able to reduce the limits
or amounts you purchase because you may be able to self-insure against some or
all of the risk of loss that could occur.

The
book at the link below provides principles and practical steps that help you
use the Power to Get Wealth. By 1992, we had $135,000 of debt and
a negative $35,000 net worth. Financial bondage and turmoil led me to seek
principles and a process for employing good stewardship. As a result, we became
constructively debt-free in 1998, mortgage free January 2004, millionaires in
2012, multi-millionaires shortly thereafter, and retired in 2018 in my
mid-fifties from public servant jobs while giving abundantly to fund the gospel
of our LORD Jesus Christ. The same power is available to you!
