This program will help you undo financial
bondage.
You’re
free to retire from your current employment, however a disciple of Christ always
has work to do that helps evangelize the world and make disciples inside and
outside of secular workplaces. Total abstinence from work is not God’s plan for
anyone, nor is it healthy for your body. Though you may engage a short period
of rest to replenish, the LORD definitely has work for you to do in addition to
usual Church activities. You’ll find some of these activities, when properly
managed, allow you to use your skills and gifting in ways that produce income
to help you fund gospel ministry and build wealth.
Understand
that work performed before and after retirement must meet the same parameters
in order to be pleasing to the Lord - it’s in a legitimate, morally acceptable
venue that positively serves others. This comes in many different forms and
could be work you’re paid to do via another job or self-employment, or it could
be volunteer work done for your church or another organization. Sometimes, it’s
work that many people refuse to engage like interceding in prayer so your
Church will see and experience His will come to pass for the church, your
community, nation, the world, and other people’s lives. Such work is more
useful and necessary than legitimate income-producing work, and some people are
called by Him to do it and will be handsomely rewarded for their labor of love.
When
you seek to please the Lord more than you seek to please men, He highly favors
you for good works produced by faith. He’s also overjoyed when your work
pleases your superiors and helps other people. This doesn’t change after you
retire. It continues in future venues where your good works are employed. In
other words, retirement for a Christian is really refirement for the employment
of your giftings and skills in other earthly arenas, where you’ll do even
greater works to support the Great Commission. You’ll do this via service you
provide others and by giving abundantly of income produced by your labor.
