MoneyWalk 296 Don’t Complain, Honor God

This program will help you undo financial bondage.

Good stewards live content, self-controlled, and servant-minded. They’re committed to living constructively debt-free and properly managing money God entrusts to them. They engage a budget to control expenses to be continuously far less than take home pay. They work to have plenty of money left over throughout each year that can be applied to savings for emergencies and for big ticket items they need or want in the future (special offerings, different house or car, vacation, wedding ceremony, etc.). Each year, they put at least 10% of gross pay into a diversified portfolio of equity investments with proven track records over ten or more years of paying high average annual interest and/or exponential growth. They’re grateful with much thanksgiving for the intimacy they share with the Lord and their local church family. They’re also reputable in their dealings, known for paying back what is owed to others, and for being a blessing in the lives of those around them.

Poor stewards often complain about their position in life, jobs they hold, and relationships with spouses and/or other people. They’re up to their necks in debt, are often broke again shortly after getting paid, and continually buy more expensive houses, cars, boats, campers, cabins, and clothing above their income and asset level. In short order, they replace these items with more expensive ones while paying lenders enormous amounts of down payment, closing costs, and finance charges over the term of their many outstanding loans. They act as if they cannot live without continually getting loans for everything they need and want. Yet, many wonder why their lives and finances are in shambles. Some have been taught the Lord wants to pour more money and expensive material things into their lives without need for their accountability, responsibility, and discipline. Of course, this couldn’t be further from the truth. Unfortunately, many haven’t studied to show themselves approved as workmen who need not be ashamed because they study the bible to understand its instructions on good stewardship for their lives including finances.

Despite this predicament, help is on the way when they decide to exercise faith in His way of living. You can change your spiritual and financial situation from negative to positive when you leave the former way of doing things and begin to regularly worship Him, study scripture, fellowship with Christians, use your gifts and skills serving others, tithe, plan including budget, eliminate debt, refuse to cosign, save, invest, and diversify assets. A whole new world awaits you, free of complaints about your current and future condition. Testimonies of abundant peace, joy, blessing, and reward upon your life will bring encouragement to many others who want to travel on the road of good stewardship.

The book at the link below provides principles and practical steps that help you use the Power to Get Wealth. By 1992, we had $135,000 of debt and a negative $35,000 net worth. Financial bondage and turmoil led me to seek principles and a process for employing good stewardship. As a result, we became constructively debt-free in 1998, mortgage free January 2004, millionaires in 2012, multi-millionaires shortly thereafter, and retired in 2018 in my mid-fifties from public servant jobs while giving abundantly to fund the gospel of our LORD Jesus Christ. The same power is available to you!
