MoneyWalk 348: Supernatural Vision Propels You

This program will help you undo financial bondage.

If you want to be truly successful on the earth and throughout eternity you must seek God each day and throughout the day. In intimacy He will share the great purpose for which He made you and show you how to truly be of service to those around you and those in far off lands. In the bible, He’s given you principles with boundaries for managing your life including your income. This brings real freedom – from sin, degradation, and a wasted life.

When you live within these boundaries by adhering to scriptural principles you bring greater blessing and reward into your life. Those that fail to live according to His design bring destruction and damnation upon themselves. Jesus’ intercession before the Father and the Holy Spirit’s guidance helps you overcome every obstacle placed before you by satan, other people, trials, and tribulations. Even though you are humanly weak and cannot see the victory with your natural eyes, the Spirit of God lives in you to strengthen and help you see, pursue, and in your heart attain His purposes and your destiny long before you physically reach that plateau.

Spiritual vision lets you know the outcome of your conduct is abundant life, finances, and resources to carry out the LORD’s will on earth. In addition to daily prayer, bible study, thanksgiving, praise, worship, prayer, and regular fellowship with other believers you should adhere to scriptural principles like freely communicating the gospel, teaching others to obey His commands, tithing, offering, expending less than your monthly income, and eliminating debt while expending far less than your income so you can save, invest, and diversify assets to build and maintain wealth. It takes vision, faith, and an intimate love of God to follow these biblical principles because the reason for and way you should do them as a Christian is far different than the world’s motive and way of doing things. Yet, God’s vision and power is in you, surrounds you, and draws others to you to help you greatly bless many others and yourself in so doing.

MoneyWalk 347: Being Full And Empty

This program will help you undo financial bondage.

Believers can always use more money to spread the gospel around the world and into areas that have not been saturated with it. Yet, believers should not love money. Instead, we must love the LORD and engage intimate fellowship with Him in order to know His will, be obedient to His instruction, and fruitful in our activities.

Such love motivates you to learn to live within your current income and assets while having faith that God will do far greater work through you than these resources are able to fund. He will even give you more to give when you are faithful over the little you currently have. Almighty God is able to multiply your seed into a bountiful harvest and great blessing for you, family, and other people. He can turn five-figure incomes into six figures, six-figures into millions, millions into billions, and so on. His power is unlimited. That’s why He wants you to rest in His ability to do exceedingly abundantly above all you can think or ask by being content in your lifestyle with the income and assets He provides you.

He wants you to stay away from greed in all its forms (avarice, covetousness, selfishness, etc.) because they are satan’s tools to destroy your relationship with God, His moral standard in your life, and your godly influence on other people. A few common symptoms of these maladies are “the end justifies the means attitude” and a desire to get-rich-quick while forsaking your family, local church, or ministry service to do so. These lifestyles bring negative natural and eternal consequences whereas godliness with contentment truly is great gain because it will motivate you to move forward and higher in a way that conforms to biblical teaching and pursues your purpose in a way that pleases the heart of God and makes you extremely fruitful and prosperous.

MoneyWalk 346: Blessing Comes By Faith Not Fear

This program will help you undo financial bondage.

It is often said that fear is false evidence appearing real. Fear keeps people from doing things they need to do according to the LORD’s plan in order to truly be fruitful, successful, and prosper in life. It can display different symptoms in different people and at different times in a person’s life. It may show up only in one or a few areas of your life, and often does not make sense in its application.

For example, some people work far more hours than is good for the upkeep of their spousal relationship, because they believe they must work very long hours or else cannot get promoted in life. Also, some people are scared to put money in the stock market because they feel scared to lose money, yet they have no fear of losing thousands of dollars gambling in casinos or at the poker table.

The more you open up to fear in one area the more it tries to grasp other areas to bring them into the same misery. It encourages you to act opposite the manner God intends for you, so it can neutralize the blessing that God has in store for you. This is true wherever it shows up in your life, including in the financial realm. If the enemy can motivate you to fear that you don’t receive enough income to pay tithes, budget, eliminate debt, and eventually save and invest, then the blessing that comes from being a godly steward will not accrue to you.

The LORD imparts to believers faith as the antidote to fear. It is impossible to please the LORD without exercising the faith He imparts into you. It helps you overcome fear, so you can be obedient to His instructions knowing in your heart the positive outcome He will bring to situations that concern you. However, you must use that power in you to truly believe the truths in the bible and to hearken to His commands. For if you are to receive the full blessing and reward the LORD prepared for you, you must believe that He is the almighty, all knowing, omnipresent one He said He is who rewards those who diligently seek Him.

MoneyWalk 345: Regularly Saving Money Is Godly

This program will help you undo financial bondage.

The LORD provides many principles in the bible that help you manage money in order to prosper such as planning (including budgeting), tithing, offering, debt elimination, refusing to cosign, saving, investing, and diversifying. Thanksgiving, praise, worship, prayer to Him, regular scripture reading & study, weekly fellowship with a local representation of the body of Christ, and receiving instruction from wise saints help you employ these principles in the best possible manner. Such engagement invites the Holy Spirit to give you knowledge and understanding so you can make wise actions that are best for you now and in the future.

He understands you will learn and walk these principles out step by step until you finally employ all of them to display a well-rounded arsenal of weapons that fend off satan’s attacks on your life through day to day financial decisions, emergencies, catastrophes, and other situations. His hope is that you will immediately begin to use each principle after hearing He instructed His people to follow it because obedience to His plan for your life is ultimately best for you.

Saving is one of these biblical principles. There are a few methods you can use including saving a reasonable portion of your monthly income before you pay expenses to any other person or entity or save what is left over after you pay the minimum monthly payment to those you owe. Also, there are many tools you can use such as savings accounts, money market accounts / funds, certificates of deposit, etc. Getting yourself in a position to save regularly and consistently in a way that preserves your principal and earns interest on top is necessary before you begin to invest in vehicles that are more speculative on the short-term horizon but provide a far greater ability to increase your wealth on the long-term horizon (no load low expense stock index mutual funds, no load low expense bond index mutual funds, credible real estate ventures and funds, etc.).

Sometimes a conflict arises in your mind that wonders how you can tithe and give abundantly and save money at the same time. Since God put each of these principles into play in the earth, the Holy Spirit is able to show you how both principles work together to fulfill God’s perfect plan for you. After all, abundant tithing and giving is a fraction of your income (starting at 10%) compared to the amount you expend on other desires (upwards of 60% on houses, cars, furniture, clothes, jewelry, etc.). The first step to implementing the saving principle in your life is knowing it is important to the LORD and should be employed for your betterment and for those to whom you are called to be a light and example.

MoneyWalk 344: You Cannot Succeed Without Help

This program will help you undo financial bondage.

A necessary part of good money management is fellowship with God’s people. That’s why God sets the solitary into families and requires that we fellowship more and more as we see the day of Christ’s return approaching. Christians will encourage you to love others and do good works and help you overcome obstacles that keep blessings and rewards away from you.

Those in your local fellowship who truly have a mind to live according to the mind of Christ would never lead you to forsake a lifestyle of thanksgiving, praise, worship, and prayer or lead you to steal, commit adultery, abuse your children, or forsake evangelizing & disciple making in every venue the LORD allows you to be in (home, neighborhood, employment, social clubs, etc.).

Your failure to engage godly activities will draw you away from Christ and cost you respect, trust, relationships, and money that should be used to properly care for your family and build the kingdom of God in men’s hearts via Church related ministry. Because believers love you with the love of God, they want to help you sidestep activities that suck you dry of a good spiritual, emotional, physical, and monetary state such as unnecessary / unwarranted divorce, illegal and criminal activities, womanizing, alcoholism, drug addiction, etc.

God has a plan He wants you to engage that includes salvation, sanctification, eternal life, and earthly blessing and reward including in the financial realm, so you can indeed move forward to use the gifts, skills, and abilities He placed in you and fulfill the calling He engrained in you for the marketplaces in which you work, live, and play. This cannot and will not be achieved without the help of other people, simply because that is how He ordered life and relationships for each of us.

MoneyWalk 343: Envision God’s Blessing

This program will help you undo financial bondage.

Some people think bargain shopping is beneath the privilege God wants for their life. So, they enter stores with the mindset they’re going to pay whatever price is requested for merchandise they desire. They don’t recognize that clearance racks sometime have items they need or want at drastically reduced prices. The merchandise being of as much quality as if they had paid the higher price. It could be that the LORD moved store personnel to put that item on the sale or clearance rack because He knew you were going there today.

No wrong is done paying higher prices for merchandise, unless your budget is simply in no shape to do so or for that matter to purchase it at all. However, before making a purchase many people fail to wait the short period of time until merchandise is marked down because in their minds paying a higher price for merchandise is prestigious and a display of their financial wherewithal. Their insecurity or desire to be somebody special in the eyes of others pushes them to immediately obtain the latest advertised designer brand item no matter the cost.

We should always be first in line and be willing to pay any price to enter the presence of God because we will receive many spiritual and natural blessings & rewards. However, we should restrain our impulse to be first in line and pay the highest price for material items until after we’ve measured our ability to handle the purchase without debt, are able to maintain an adequate emergency fund, savings, and investments and have put the proposed purchase before the LORD and felt His peace about it. Otherwise, we may find we are worshipping the created instead of the Creator. This type of worship lead us out of the presence of God because it’s focused on pleasing self and it often causes addiction to credit instruments and debt and leads to lack of adequate emergency funds, savings, and investments.

I would much rather spend less and still have quality material items and have more money to plant via the Church to evangelize and make disciples of other people, than to try to impress myself or others with how much money I can spend on material things. Therefore, I peruse clearance and sale racks before going to the regular price aisles. I look for bargains to ensure I’m not letting satan and the world get more of the money the LORD entrusted to me than is absolutely necessary. For if I do, money that could have been given for the LORD’s purposes will often be spent by sinners who received it to fill their ungodly appetites. Being a good steward doesn’t mean you live like a pauper. Rather, it motivates you to manage money expediently so as much as possible goes to kingdom work and quality endeavors.

MoneyWalk 342: Giving Leads To Receiving More

People all around you are reaping the natural results of their spiritual actions. They sow sparingly, so they reap sparingly and feel the pain of this condition throughout their lives until their actions change to show they trust God’s promise. Then, they start to reap abundantly because they start to sow abundantly into His plan for saving and making disciples of people worldwide.

Jesus created us to give abundantly. When we let Him teach and encourage us a mature understanding is develop of how giving helps other people and ourselves. He doesn’t want us to compare how many dollars we give against the giving of other people in the church. He simply wants each person to consistently sow an abundant proportion of the income He entrusts to him / her. That’s why Jesus considered the widow's two pennies to be a greater offering than the amounts given by people who had far more and gave far more than she did. God's financial plan works different than our human minds comprehend.

It takes faith to please God in giving and every other area of life. We must believe that He is and is a rewarder of those that diligently seek to do His will. Tithing and offering were given to you as a road map for the financial portion of life no matter your income level. Your financial pain will be eliminated and you will begin to receive as God promised when you love Him enough to keep these commands. Through this practice He makes for you a place of great thanksgiving, praise, worship, blessing, reward, prosperity, profit, and success that also serves as a help, blessing and example to many other people to encourage them to step into the stream and become a like conduit.

MoneyWalk 341: Cosigning For Others’ Debts Will Cost You Dearly

This program will help you undo financial bondage.

Study the scriptures to learn good stewardship over money, for God has entrusted you with that responsibility. If you do not regard His authority and accountability to Him, the devil will tempt you with ungodly desires (lust of eyes, flesh, and pride) to engage unreasonable spending, borrowing, and cosigning to motivate you to squander it.

The devil and his minions do not want you abundantly blessed for giving and serving to fulfill the Great Commission. He wants to cause God great heartache by leading you and other people into a lifestyle that does not make intimacy with and salvation in Jesus the focal point. They want you to experience eternal damnation, which is their ultimate destiny. Also, they want you to experience lack of godly purpose, vision, and mission and lack of money or an insatiable desire to spend it on things that do not glorify the LORD and help other people find Him, which is everyone’s most important need.

One method the devil uses to make you ineffective in living this victory is to convince you to co-sign a debt for someone by allowing him to use your credit card to purchase merchandise and/or by pledging to pay a note if he's unable to. In most instances, you’ll have to pay out money on his behalf and ruin your credit while the borrower continues to be irresponsible and impatient in his financial dealings. When you cosign, you are exhibiting poor stewardship by allowing the devil to unnecessarily remove assets or future income from your resource pool that should be used to fund the preaching of the gospel to those who need it at home and abroad and to care for the true needs of others in a way that puts neither of you in financial bondage.

Jesus Christ paved the way for you to defeat the devil’s plan and bring abundance into your life and others. Be guided by His Spirit to employ biblical lifestyle and financial principles, including refusing to cosign for debt. His resurrection obtained eternal victory over the devil for everyone that walks in the Spirit. The question is, will you join with Christ to live by His will now and throughout eternity?

MoneyWalk 340: Get Out Of Debt

This program will help you undo financial bondage.

Handling money management in a biblically correct way benefits you by allowing money to be put to the right uses in the right proportion to your income and assets; those in line with God’s purpose for you and the Church. This includes spreading the gospel, making disciples of other people, properly caring for your family, training them in His holy morals and standards, helping those truly in need in ways that truly help them and shows them how to help themselves in the future.

This pattern allows the money the LORD entrusts to you to remain under His spiritual direction and your earthly control when it otherwise be paid out to those you borrow from and used irresponsibility. The mind of Christ in you desires to show you that getting in debt is not faithful to Him because it shows you do not believe He is the provider of all and desires to help you succeed without turning to ways of doing it that are not in line with instructions in the bible.

The bible does not contain any story, instruction, encouragement, or motivation to pursue lifestyle, success, notoriety, or power through borrowing money and thus taking on debt. Men around you may do it and a small number may become very successful to the world and receive honor in the eyes of men, but the vast majority of people who use debt as the means to attain success suffer the burden of financial bondage that ruins relationships, family unity, personal psyche, reputations, etc.

Having beliefs and taking actions opposite of scriptural instruction lessens your ability to trust the LORD to provide all you need so you have all sufficiency in all things. It puts you in a place where you are a slave to the lender, who most times is led by worldly designs to enslave your income, assets, and wealth building capacity so it cannot be used to greatly benefit people in the way that God desires.

Start the mind renewal and thus lifestyle renewal process by (1) accepting Jesus Christ as Savior & LORD, (2) daily thanking, praising, & worshipping Him, (3) regularly reading / studying the bible, (4) daily praying to Him, (5) weekly attending a church that teaches biblical instruction and admonishes its parishioners to live according to it, (6) working faithfully in a way that brings gainful income, (7) tithing & offering, (8) saving an emergency fund, and (9) investing once adequate savings are put away in order to build wealth that will benefit the kingdom and your heirs in due time.

All of this should lead you to draft a budget based on the priorities (1) give first, (2) then save, (3) then spend reasonably. It must identify your monthly income, subtract your expected expenses, and show you whether you have a surplus or deficit and give you a view of whether or not you need to cut expenses and/or grow income via overtime, new jobs, and no cost entrepreneurial profit making ventures in order to master all of the things mentioned in the paragraph above.

If you don't follow the biblical plan, you will employ satan's destructive plan for your life by obtaining credit cards and loans you don't need in order to buy things you cannot afford. This only brings misery into your life. In fact, that's the situation satan wants to see you in though he presents a rosy picture of benefits debt will bring you in order to entice you to follow his path. You have to remember he often appears as an angel of light and not the ugly ogre he really is. Therefore, you have to be on your guard against his trickery and deceit. A righteous man sees destruction on the path ahead and avoids it, but a fool walks right into it and is injured.

MoneyWalk 339: Giving Abundantly

This program will help you undo financial bondage.

Supernatural blessings will overflow in your life when you faithfully tithe and give offerings. A tithe is one tenth of your gross income. It is most often given to the local Church that regularly feeds and cares for you. Offerings are free-will in nature and should be given cheerfully as you purpose in your heart. These forms of giving help care for the facilities, personnel, organization, and outreach of the local Church in its connection with the global Church and other connected ministries like missions, help for qualified widows, orphans, and the poor, building funds, and other projects that please the heart of the LORD. All of these things serve and glorify the LORD because they help the gospel of Jesus Christ reach other people even while the funds may also help care for other people’s physical needs, such as food, clothing, shelter, transportation to jobs, medical conditions, etc.

Like the father of our faith, Abraham, spiritually mature Christians tithe and offer because the funds are used to take the gospel to the unsaved and disciple those who are saved so they can develop a closer relationship with Christ. In addition, we recognize that giving moves God's hand to abundantly bless so we can do more for Him in the future than we have done in the past. We recognize that He is the person who provides all our income, assets, resources, intelligence, bodily strength, and anything else that we have in this life.

Do not be trapped in a fruitless lifestyle or negative financial condition by failing to recognize the LORD’s ownership of all creation. Give Him the sacrifice of thanks, praise, and worship commanded in scripture and let this extend via abundant giving for worthwhile ministry and by personally engaging ministry. He promised that if you will give to evangelize, make disciples, and build His kingdom in the hearts of men, He will eliminate the devourer from your life and open the windows of Heaven to pour out huge blessing on you that will overflow into the lives of other people. He also promised His blessing will make you rich and no sorrow follows it. This is eternal and earthly blessing the world cannot match.
