Everyone faces costly situations at various points in their lives. However, some people create some of these situations by being disobedient to the LORD’s instruction, then call them emergencies when they cannot pay the bills. You must recognize that you are a child of the King, yet it will cost you dearly if you think of yourself more highly than you ought to by taking on ungodly practices including debt bondage. You will severely stunt your spiritual maturity and your ability to help plant and water God’s kingdom in the hearts of other people.
Remember, you are not wrestling against people and creditors rather you're wrestling against satan and demonic powers that want to keep you from fulfilling God's plan for your life. They charm you with thoughts of social activities and an abundance of material things that create a dependence upon satan’s method of financial stewardship. They know God weaved money and goods throughout the fabric of your life so you could use a majority of it to advance the gospel. So, they desire to stop you from doing this by motivating you to put self first in all things and focus the vast majority of the money God entrusts to you toward yourself and worldly pleasures.
While the noose around your neck gets tighter and tighter due to the lust of the flesh, eyes, and pride of life, the satanic forces and world around you tell you that God has forsaken you even though their principles dragged you down and led you to destruction. But my friend there’s hope. Turn to God right now, trust His principles no matter how unusual they seem, regularly fellowship with believers, crucify fleshly desires, and pray against strategies satan wants to use against you. Then, the LORD is sure to prosper you eternally and use you naturally in ways you never dreamed possible.
