MoneyWalk 115 How To Prosper

This program will help you undo financial bondage.

I was asked to describe one financial principle that was more important than all others in helping people prosper. The person expected me to say, give all you can because you cannot out give God because He will then give more back to you than you could ever give Him and financial problems will forever cease.

Giving is needed and beneficial to your well-being, yet it is not more important than all other biblical principles. Each one holds equal importance in helping you prosper, carry out the Great Commandment and Great Commission, and complete the work God designed the Church and you to do. Failure to regularly teach the full array of biblical financial principles leads to a drastic downward spiral in giving due to poor financial management. It also results in massive church-hopping because people are too focused on the material benefits they think they’re not getting or those they think they can get via teaching by particular preachers.

Many don’t understand they are planted in a local church to fellowship with other believers to worship the LORD and learn how to share the gospel with the lost and make disciples. This happens via loving, serving, and learning how to be under the His authority and those He established as leaders in the church, home, civil government, and workplace. Failure to obey the full array of biblical financial guidance leads to decreases in tithing, offering, serving, and other giving to spread the gospel as well as failure to conform your life to the LORD’s will. It shows satan’s financial plan is at work in your life and results in the misappropriation of money and resources He intended you to pull from Heaven to fulfill the work He called you to do on Earth.

The many scriptural passages concerning financial prosperity He desires for His people shows preachers should often teach biblical financial principles to their congregations, letting them know the acceptance of poverty is a curse in the same manner that trust in wealth is a curse. This helps people understand its importance and progressively builds the congregation into believers who seek to give an abundant, proportionate amount of income to fund ministry work so they can be enriched to properly care for their families and other responsibilities and be a partner in making sure everyone worldwide has an opportunity to hear and respond to the gospel.

Don’t mistake a poverty mentality with making a small income or not accumulating great assets and don’t mistake a trust in wealth mentality with being rich, having a successful business, or accumulating a lot of assets. Rather, understand these mindsets as showing lack of trust in the LORD’s word thus leading to improper beliefs, failure to follow biblical principles by managing talents, abilities, resources, and money in a way that honors and pleases Him. Properly managing finances helps your spiritual life and finances get progressively better as time moves forward. Surely, when others see the fruitfulness of your life, they will want to hear your testimony. As a result, many will understand Jesus Christ has their best interest at heart in every area of life and begin to seek Him.

Deuteronomy 6:4-9, Psalms 1:1-3, Proverbs 3:5-10, Matthew 22:36-40, 2Timothy 3:16-17

The book at the link below provides principles and practical steps that help you use the Power To Get Wealth. By 1992, we had $135,000 of debt and a negative $35,000 net worth. Financial bondage and turmoil led me to seek principles and a process for employing good stewardship. As a result, we became constructively debt-free in 1998, mortgage free January 2004, millionaires in 2012, multi-millionaires shortly thereafter, and retired in 2018 in my mid-fifties from public servant jobs while giving abundantly to fund the gospel of our LORD Jesus Christ. The same power is available to you!
