MoneyWalk 116 The Whole Story

This program will help you undo financial bondage.

There are many things going on in people’s lives and some are in better financial positions than others. However, per the Parable of the Sower, it may well be up to 75% of the ground scriptural instruction is sown into (the hearts of people listening) is not currently good ground because they only let the Word penetrate (a) enough to hear it and then immediately disavow it or (b) for a very short time until tribulation comes, then they turn back to their old beliefs and self-guided actions or (c) for a while until the cares of this world (pursuit of riches and worldly pleasure instead of pursuit of the goals of Jesus Christ) crowd out the Word it seemed they previously accepted.

In each case, the person couldn't be built up in the Christian faith because they chose to forsake the Word and often forsake regular fellowship with believers in a local bible-believing church that truly seeks the LORD's will. The devil ultimately ravages them. As you know, he goes about like a roaring lion seeking whom he may devour. They allow satan, his plan, and his enticements turn them away from intimacy with the LORD and His way of doing things. In the financial realm they often spend a lion’s share of income on themselves and use debt to get even more with no regard for tithing and abundant giving to honor the LORD and further His kingdom work in the Earth so others can go with us to an eternal Heavenly home.

In the parable, only 25 percent of the seed (gospel message) was identified as being sown in good ground (hearts prepared for growth by fully accepting the LORD with no reservations, who show it by progressively employing Christ-like discipline and actions). I hope you fall into this category, not only for salvation and eternal life, but so you also will be fruitful on Earth bringing forth 30, 60, and 100-fold returns for Jesus Christ, the kingdom of God, your family, your friends, and the sake of lost souls who need Him.

If you are not currently in this category, then move into it. It’s an exercise of your will motivated by your love for Jesus Christ that allows His work of reconciliation to take place in your life. You then become useful in helping others be reconciled to Him. I don’t believe that this 75% to 25% relationship is necessarily set in stone. I believe it identifies as a whole the condition of men’s hearts and the devastating consequences that will be felt by each individual who does not receive Jesus Christ as Savior and LORD. Their un-Christ-like beliefs lead them to forsake tithing and other godly principles that are part of the relationship God want them to engage.

This need presents the body of Christ and its leaders with a great challenge. Yet, we can overcome it by regularly feeding the congregation biblical principles (including financial) and showing them how to forsake worldly principles. Such regular monthly teaching will provide believers with the knowledge they need to help overcome hardness of heart, tribulation, and the pursuit of riches and worldly pleasure (the love of money) that produces spiritual bankruptcy and poverty.

Leaders that want to help members undo financial bondage, prosper, and greatly increase church revenues for the purpose of fulfilling the Great Commission must employ trustworthy instructors to teach their members to adhere to the complete array of godly lifestyle including financial principles contained in the Bible including:

·                   Worshipping the LORD in psalms, hymns, spiritual songs, thanksgiving, praise, and daily prayer.

·                   Attending weekly fellowship with a bible-believing local Church.

·                   Regularly serving with other believers.

·                   Engaging outreach to unbelievers and disciple-making of believers.

·                   Tithing, free-will offering, and giving in other ways.

·                   Displaying a proper biblical outlook about work and obeying godly authority in the home, church, workplace, and society.

·                   Paying taxes, saving / investing, diversifying your assets, eliminating debt, and spending less than you make.

Deuteronomy 6:4-9, Matthew 13:3-8, John 8:32, Romans 10:17, 2Timothy 2:2, 3:16-17

The book at the link below provides principles and practical steps that help you use the Power To Get Wealth. By 1992, we had $135,000 of debt and a negative $35,000 net worth. Financial bondage and turmoil led me to seek principles and a process for employing good stewardship. As a result, we became constructively debt-free in 1998, mortgage free January 2004, millionaires in 2012, multi-millionaires shortly thereafter, and retired in 2018 in my mid-fifties from public servant jobs while giving abundantly to fund the gospel of our LORD Jesus Christ. The same power is available to you!
